Edited by: Nahno on 24/11/2007 04:59:45 I would like to salvage wrecks from peoples missions in The Forge/Lonetrek area. If you are a power mission runner and leave your wrecks behind I would love to come clean them up.
What is in it for you? Nothing. What is in it for me? Salvage.
I am not looking for an argument or peoples opinions, just salvage.
People posting in this thread should be saying: "Sure, I dont salvage my missions, come on over man. At least you ask before you salvage my wrecks."
Edit: Convo me if you can help me out.
Thank you.

From my experience, the forums are not the best place to get this plan of yours working. I'd advise you to make a similar request in local in a busy mission system. Have some patience and be nice :) This has worked for me in the past.
Good luck! -Ranges

I'd change this slightly:
Offer either a portion of your profits from salvage, or for someone like myself, offer to sell me all of the salvage items at 60% of market rate for my rig building business (or I might strike a deal for all of a particular item and leave you the remainder - depending on my needs). That way I'm less inclined to forget to give you a bookmark as I have a good source of cheap materials for rigs and don't have to waste time doing my own salvage.
You also need to give a timezone and likely play times. As suggested, asking in game might be better as you'll attract people who are online when you are.
Feel free to drop me an evemail. EveMail Haka Lakadaka - I use that character a lot more at the moment. I'm often in the area you need and play in the Australian timezone.
Cheers Falka

Just probe out the mission runners and salvage their wrecks, but only do this in highsec.

don't any of your corp mates run level 4 missions that you can salvage? Ladies and gentlemen, we will shortly be experiencing some exploding followed by some crashing...so i'd hold on if i were you! |

This is what I am doing now and what I was doing before. I just thought I would let someone come forward and let me salvage their unwanted wrecks. No one bothered so now I am back to the probing. I find a lot of people who run missions and leave their wrecks behind. I know this because I salvage and then probe them in their next mission and so on. I have convo'd these people and they either reject convo or say no. Pretty cheap. Oh well, I take the wrecks anyway. Getting some good loot as well.
It's better this way tbh. After reading so many whines about "salvage thieves" I take pleasure in probing out missioners and it is fun to see the hate in local. People whining about a game mechanic.
I am making some nice isk building rigs and selling loot now, so I am sure CCP will put some sort of aggression timer on salvaging. heh.

There are only two pilots in my corp and they're both me.

That is an excellent plan. Unfortunately will not work for the profit I seek in the limited play time I have.

This has worked for me a few times, but just seems like a waste of time now as I usually get no response, a "no", or a "HAVE YOU EVER RUN A MISSION BEFORE!?!?!?!? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I SPEND..." blah blah blah.
It seems like when I ran missions, most of the isk made came from bounties and LP. That is why I stopped cleaning the wrecks and I used to advertise this to professional salvagers in local.
