Ok, im setting up my girlfriends computer to play EVE with me, she has an AMD Sempron 2400+ 1 gig of ram, and an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.
ive had some difficulties with Windows XP and her ATI card in the first place but i got those worked out, now when i open the EVE client the first screen shows with the large carrier or whatever, then that dissaperes and the login screen never pops up. it shows on the start bar but it never shows on screen.
does anyone have any suggestions or questions on something i didnt include?

Exactly the same issue here connecting to singularity splash screen and exefile.exe using around 3% @11MB but that is all.
Prior to this afternoons 120MB patch all was well.

I've attempted a computer restart, reinstall and patch, restart again. Pretty much everything I can think of, it still hangs and does not open the loader.

Same issue here.
I have a separate directory for SiSi but since fully patching that this morning I've been unable to log into Tranquility. Client goes through authentication, then does nothing. If I re-click connect this is the popup I get:
The client's local session information is corrupt, probably as a result of failed cleanup during a disconnect. Connecting to the server in this state could lead to a rather unpleasant game experience. Please restart the client prior to logging in.

This exact same thing happened to me after I installed a copy of EVE to use as a test server for singularity. i installed the trinity patch and after that my original install for tranquility stopped working and developed the same problems as you.
did any of you develop the problem after doing this? i am pretty ****ed that i cant play anything but the test server.

Here is the response I got from tech support.
Hi, See if clearing your settings helps, corrupt settings can cause ingame items and information being shown incorrectly or not at all. It can also cause players, ships and items to function improperly. Open your ( "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\Logs" If you use the old cache system. The new cache system saves the information under C:\Documents and Settings\%yourusername%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE on Windows 2000/XP and "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE" on Windows Vista ( note you have to have "show hidden folders" ticked in "Folder options -> view" to see those folders rename the settings folder to settings2, re log and see if all is as it should. Do note that copying the settings folder or any of it's files back may cause your problems to resurface, this includes the prefs.ini file. Best regards,GM SunshineThe EVE Online Customer Support Team
