Im running dual 7600 GT video cards, and i downloaded the new graphics on SiSi. On TQ im getting 95 FPS with Eve running off my processor (apparently thats how it works). But on SiSi with the new engine, im getting 23 FPS in station. supposedly the new engine is supposed to draw off your video card to increase FPS why am i experincing a decrease instead?
Heres my rig:
Pentium Core 2 Duo, 2.2. GhZ 3GB Cosair ram Dual Nvidia (BFG) 7600 GT OC
someone tell me what the F im doing wrong?

I think you misunderstood CCP. You will get a fps increase if you use the new engine with the old content, but not neccesarily if you use the new engine with new content.
And a 7600 is by no means a good card, especially not when run in a shader-intensive environment. A single Radeon 2600XT gives much better performance ;)

you're kidding me right, the 7600 GT OC by bfg has the same benchmark test results as a 7900 and early 8000 series cards. So thanks for the flame, but move along if you arent going to provide a reasonable solution.

Got almost the same setup (Intel Core2Duo 6600 , Nvidia 7600 GT) and the performance is way better(!) than yesterday with the old content. In my book this content runs a lot smoother (settings all at high).

Edited by: Abn Matar on 27/11/2007 20:40:06 I get about the same numbers while not loading or screenshoting and i use a:
AMD X2 4200+ 1,5gb memory (EEC) Gainward 7800GTX
Personally i think my setup is crap but it will do until i can get a new one... 2x 7600 is basicly crap, seriously, atleast for new graphics like this, try running Crysis... :P
EDIT: oh and, this is the test server and 200 ppl in local, try do that on TQ, that would be like having 400 pl in local and great FPS... Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes |

I had 2 7600gts in SLI before my 8800gtx, sorry... not a great card. Should run the client fine, but not a great card

Actually, the new engine does draw way more cpu... --- This is your Captain speaking. Thank you for flying with our spaceline. Please remain seated until the ship has completely burned out. Thank you. |

All depends. If you got HDR enable expect performance to die. The 7600 GT is not a very fast card. SLI wont help that much and it prolly isn't even suzpported yet. You'`ll prolly have to lower detail or resolutiona bit.

whats on SISI does not yet have the GPU optimizations...so its WAY to earlier to draw any conclusions.
patience...give it time.

Actually, it's not that bad.. i'm getting 100 FPS with 2,2Ghz core 2 duo, 2gb ram, and an 8800GTX in station.
Outside of station tough, it's a whole different story... When i get more then 10+ people my FPS drops to single digits... And i seriously doubt EVE doesn't use my graphics card with the new engine... _______
