Massive overheating while on sisi?
1/ check with another game and see if all is wrong too 2/ were your cache forlders properly separated? (/end /LUA:OFF setting) 3/ nvidia has a test utility (and as I have an nvidia chipset too, I can test almost everything with it) that can be downloaded over the driver (I found this when I wanted to look at my GPU temperature with latest driers, also allows overcloaking and setting original not overclocked settings that may get everything wrong) 3bis/ may ATI have same?
More ideas to come... But sounds like some configuration broke, if something was broken, you would more crash than get low FPS. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

I have two installs of eve. One for reguar gameplay. One for testing on sisi. Never had an issue.
Don't use one installation for both.

You most definetely need to clear your cache... The premium models and settings make your classic game crash... If in doubt - uninstall EVE and reinstall it... --- This is your Captain speaking. Thank you for flying with our spaceline. Please remain seated until the ship has completely burned out. Thank you. |

Even if you have that LUA switch in don't discount that as the problem...try clearing your caches anyway. You'll find them under
c:\documents and settings\<your acct>\local settings\application data\ccp\cache
--and--
<your eve install folder>\ccp\cache

Edited by: MalVortex on 28/11/2007 14:09:46 Make sure at least one of the clients is using the command line toggle. Otherwise they'll both read the same cache folder and things will get ugly quickly.
The install running the switch will generate + use a Cache folder in its install root directory. Simply delete the entire cache folder for a quick way to clear that install's cache.
