This is all rather interesting to me, but it has been rather difficult to find anything more than a small snippet on the T20 scandal -- As such, I was wondering if someone could throw me a link which explains exactly what happened?
Did T20 lose his job like he deserved to?
Was someone really banned for raising suspicion?
We he unbanned?
All these questions bring to light the manner of character within CCP, because as of right now the company itself wreaks of unprofessional demeanor.
Above all, why was the guy who brought the allegations to light banned in the first place? For those who never got worked up over this incident, I believe that there's more to this story. What's to say that this was the only misconduct?
How would you feel if a developer 'produced' ISK only to turn around and sell it to several of the sites, because as far as MMO's are concerned this is not unheard of.
I'm new to Eve so this is the first time I've heard of these events, but god damn if it doesn't make me want to wander over to the cancel subscription page.
Is there any substance to the allegations about multiple ice fields in LX5 as a 'dev favor', since supposedly it's the only place in the game where this occurs?

I wasn't kidding when I said I looked for that information and wasn't able to find it, so I'd love if you could throw me a link.

This is such an ancient history, why are you dredging it up?
What do you mean "because as of right now the company itself wreaks of unprofessional demeanor" - exactly?
Has there been any 'incidents' recently that should make you ask this question? Or are you just trying to play a provocateur, and bring to surface, and delight in, at rather sad moments the CCP and the community went through?
If you were just asking for information, I would have just shrugged, since it is an open book, the 'T20 Scandal' to anyone with Google. But, you are actually implying that some impropriety still taking place, that we know of, or that you know of, and pretty much there are none - at least that I am aware of.
So, I see what you are doing, stirring a storm in a tea-cup.....
So I see what you are doing as a provocation to bring up old hurts, and refresh painful memories, as such I am sure many in EVE will see it as well.

I've tried using Google, but all I get are short articles that say, "A CCP developer admitted to cheating." And that's it. I want to know why the original guy got banned, what happened to the guy who abused his position, and the details.
It's also odd how much I've been hearing about developers removing POS, players being able to reset POS passwords, multiple ice fields, fleet transport and many other allegations. This is, more or less, curiosity.

I think the OP means that if they didn't fire him, theres a potential for repeated mistakes or similar actions that occurred 6 months ago along with many other things. Basically, if it wasn't taken care of fully, then it pretty much left loose end for anyone to exploit in the future.

T20 did get his punishment. One aspect of it was his removal from EVE community interaction, for a very long time. I am sure there were other "administrative" things that CCP did, for which neither you, nor I have any rights to ask, it is between CCP and their employee.
T20 Still with the company. And he has been slowly seen around forums.
The guy who was banned, was banned for more reasons than just "outing" T20...
It is done, and gone.
It was a significant laps in judgement, yes, but then EVE is a game that really does make people do strange things.

I don't know why I'm doing this but here goes:
From the perspective of someone who doesn't give a crap either way, and only followed along on the forums very briefly.
T20 altered the database slightly to give his player character some Tech II blueprints. He ended up with quite a few, although they weren't the most profitable. However, his player character was revealed in some way, so following CCP policy he had to have it renamed, it's employment history removed, etc. However, for some reason he decided to give away the BPOs to his corporation. CCP internally found out about this, but because the people of the correct power were away on holiday they were unable to deal with him, so those left in charge punished him as best they could (I don't know what that was).
So at this point CCP are aware of what has gone on for the most part, and T20 has been punished, although not to the usual extent that an employee is punished because there was no one around to do it.
Then several months later, a suspected hacker decides to go buggering about on the BoB forums and starts uncovering all of this stuff, people go absolutely crazy as usual and the hacker is banned. However, at this point CCP aren't exactly used to dealing with this kind of situation and handle it badly, just adding fuel to the fire. Goons take advantage of this and start spamming all over the place (they are heavily to blame for a lot of the idiocy that occurred during this time to be quite frank).
Eventually it's sorted out, and CCP gives the details as to what happened. It turns out that normally they would have fired T20, but because no one was around when it first happened they couldn't, and they weren't going to punish him twice for something that, internally, had already been dealt with. At this time the internal investigations unit was created, and that's that.
Goonswarm and allies however, decided this was the perfect opportunity to start their war with BoB, and with a brilliant display of propaganda and forum whoring, they gathered allies to their cause and started their, what I assume was, long planned assault against BoB. The rest, of course, is the big war that's still going on.
And that's that.

The war started before the t20 incident, however that incident did help goon and RA get their hugecollection of allies. ______________________________
