You have very beautiful face features, and the hairdo and subtle makeup suit well to them. Anyway the lighting is awful and the background could use some work. 8.5/10 overall

So simple that slips beyond simplicity... looks like randomized, emotionless, featureless, pointless background... looks like a troll avatar. Needs serious working out almost everything, 4/10.

Blame poor lighting, your eyes are completely left out of the picture without any good reason nor a dramatic pose, so the avatar it's pretty expressionless despite the work with the mouth. 6/10 EVE residents: 5% Wormholes; 8% Lowsec; 20% Nullsec; 67% Highsec. CSM 6: 100% non-Highsec residents.

Interesting choice of being less-than-perfect; ears and thick eyebrows and the nose are less-than-perfect and give realism to the character. Anyway freckles and ahir don't mix well together and it's hard to tell any expression, the avatar looks a bit like a doll. 8/10.

As for Freyya: That tattoo looks distressingly weird with the red eyebrow. Eyes are very beautiful but the pose is somehow uninspiring, don't know what you try to tell. Model-like lips don't fit to what appears to be a rugged pilot. Also would try to use the second style of blush, the one that doesn't reaches to the eye. Will give 7/10. Simple pose and naturally relaxed, very interesting. But lighting is so-so, it's a mess of light blobs and shadows that serves no purpose. Also eyeshadow makes the eyes look weird, like if they were melting and flowing down the cheeks. Say 8/10 for pose.
@freyya: i was judging the avatar pointing to the left. As for my old avatar, I am glad you noticed there was a brown eyeliner darkening the orbit and the outer corner to profile the eye, i played a family match with pink eyeshadow and pink lipstick for a juvenile effect (and opposites match to the green eyes). Trimming the lipstick was sort of difficult to not break the rule that lips should never be paler than eyes w/o getting flamingo-looking lips. Also, orange blush worked out to not make the character cheeks too shiney under 80% light intensity, but was a bit difficult to tell it was there as it was a case of "invisible" make up for correction purposes. And all in all this character is a natural cutie, she only lacks bigger eyes but that's not my fault...
My current avatar is pretty simple so far, let's see how it scores. EVE residents: 5% Wormholes; 8% Lowsec; 20% Nullsec; 67% Highsec. CSM 6: 100% non-Highsec residents.

Huh... make up is pretty wrong, that eyeshadow is a killer. Maybe with less intensity, and try an opposite match for color, eyeshadow that fits hair and eyes is a recipe to disaster unless you know what you're doing. Try a blue or a green instead of browns. Lipstick is Ok. pose is intriguing but is difficult to tell an emotion from it. Say 6/10 because of make up.

TBH I agree, at first my colors were totally wrong. I looked washed out. So I tried to make my character be a little more like me. Meaning, I wear more earthy tones. The pose actually did take me a while to get right but after looking at it today I realized I forgot to add a smirk. >.< You're right about the makeup. Usually I give it 48 hours to decide if I like it. Tried some green. Doesn't work. Wanted some smokey eyes. I'll work on it more tomorrow. Sahara Wildcat I give you a 5/10 You blend into the background and you're kinda washed out. But you tried.
If green failed, try faded blues, maybe a two-tone with black under the eyes and blue above could give you that "smokey" look. Or you may even try one of the grays, just they need a lot of intensity to show up. But blues should be the primary choice, with brown hair and brown eyes = red hue, the opposite match is blue hue. That's a starting point. It would rock if we got violets, but apparently they're not of the season in Iceland... trimming the make up is quite a complicated thing and i usually do two or three versions before being satisfied, too. Anyway i favor natural looking makeups and use them for correction purposes: in this portrait, Indah is wearing white eyeshadow and blue blush... true! Not sure what to do with the background, tho.
Try using some of the simple backgrounds, either a flat color or the ones that didn't got nebulaes, wireframes and stuff... a wall or like that. Nice settign, any picture that shows a bossom without being a "look at my boobs!" gets +1 instantly. Makeup is nice, that color matches very well the setting. Shades are always a moot question, but I like it. So, say 8/10 prior to correction, 9/10 for not being a "look at my boobs!" bossom shot.

The direction your head faces works well with your hair - the parted directions flows well eith each other. The eyes look kind of cross-eyed, though, which doesn't look very nice. You actually opened your character's mouth and used it effectively. The lighting seemed rather off in my opinion, the shadow beneath your chin just doesn't look right imo. The background works well, with the split colours. It can give different vibes - I get the whole 'split personality' type thing. Most of my complaints are minor, while the good things are major. 9/10
Squint eyes are a long-time broken issue (since Incursion nonetheless), apparently related to how the eyes' normal axis is calculated IIRC. I may tinker with the pose to hide the left eye, as it's a pity how that squint eye spoils everything (moving the eyes further to the left causes the right iris to run under the epicanthal fold, and the left bastid still looks off-center).
As for lighting, admiteddly I didn't touched it form the previous pose, was waiting to see whether this "huh, what?" portrait worked. EVE residents: 5% Wormholes; 8% Lowsec; 20% Nullsec; 67% Highsec. CSM 6: 100% non-Highsec residents.

Nice: complexion + hair color, uses a piece of dress not used very often.
Meh: tattoo on top of eyeshadow
No and no: piercings.
Pose is meaningless, makeup is a good choice (just red eyeshadow is wasted with the tattoo and the glasses). Looks overworked, maybe simpler would be better, whereas pose is too simple, turns out bland.
Say 6/10 but it's workable.

Awful: blond dye. No. And it means no as in "no oh god no". Also pink blush is an absolute NO, please, WTH were you thinking? Your complexion is your canvas, use the appropiate colors.

Good looking and very "golden themed", from complexion to hair and background. The shirt is awful, with so much yellow around the picture, you could give a try to something dark blue or dark green, if Minmatarr have such options. Also give a try to adding a little bit of yellow eyeshadow to make your eye sockets brighter, that makes wonders on a tan complexion.

Almost perfect as usual, but now it's time for a pro tip:
- use a darker lipstick shade. There are many reasons, but the two main are that lipstick shades lighter than your skin make you look ill, and that lip color must be not be more prominent than the eyes unless you aim to look like a made-up monkfish.
I suggest to give a try to coral pink (the third reddish color from the upper row).
Otherwise, 9/10. EVE residents: 5% Wormholes; 8% Lowsec; 20% Nullsec; 67% Highsec. CSM 6: 100% non-Highsec residents.

Regardless, i agree to what you've said but there's not much i can do about it now :(
You could just ask for the one-time resculpt... but better practice resculpting first with some alts (start them, tinker with them, then go back without saving).
Oh, and yours is not the base structure... they're randomly generated for each new character, which means you really better practie a lot before touching Sarah, otherwise you could destroy a unique avatar for no gain. Kept it to remind himself not to get complacent after he was cleared for immortality. I figure he probably served in the navy prior to being cleared for continued capsuleer training and augmentation. I like the lighting; kinda reminds me of computer monitors offscreen. I'll concede the nose, though. I may just mess with that a little. I'll give you a 9.5/ 10, actually Can't say there's anything wrong with your avatar. I'm not sure if its the lighting or the skin tone, but the face seems a little off, like there might be too much makeup or something....but that may be intentional, so only minus a half point.
What you just noticed is a racial feature of female Khanid... their cheeks are naturally tan (and Indahmawar's actually are corrected with a slight hue of blue blush). Here's my main, with the racial darkest skin tone and no blush correction for cheek color:

Magnificent eyes. Magnificent lips. Extraordinary pose. Maybe too much shine on the lips and coud sue a couple notches of color intensity. The piercing is silly (but anyway I don't like piercings). Maybe the skin is a bit to dull and unhealthy compared to how bright are the eyes and lips, might be a lighting issue. Anyway it's a solid 9/10 that could be 10/19 w/o the piercing and the paleish, ubershiny lips.

Huh, the infamous squint eyes... it's quite a tricky thing as the axis of the eyes are correctly aligned, but then, the character's eyes don't work as human eyes. Our eyes are not spheres and they don't rotate inside the socket, rather eye muscles drag the pupils around. They're "one block" with the eye socket, and so they are dragged to the appropiate part of the exposed conjunctive unless some of the muscles malfunction (then the eyes become squint).
So the "squint eyes bug" it's caused by a perfeclty functional bad design: character eyes are rotating spheres inside the eye sockets and the axis are kept perfectly parallel... but human eyes don't work like that and the result is unnatural and somehow funny.
Rather than a "rotate axis xy degrees" algorythm, they would need a "locate pupil at xy coordinates" algorythm. That would allow to simulate on a static sphere the non-sphericity and function of actual eyeballs. EVE residents: 5% WH; 8% Lowsec; 15% Nullsec; 72% Highsec. CSM 7: 1 highsec resident out of 14.-á

-1 for that incredibly long neck - perhaps it's the angle?
6/10 (would be 7)
The apparent length of the neck can be trimmed by the stance, which places the shoulders. And anyway capsuleers usually got long necks that barely stand aligned with the back (only 2 of the female stances keep the head straigth over the shoulders rather than tilt the neck forward, which causes a weird "humpback" impression). Thank you (alt here) Now in your case I feel the lighting is if anyhting a little to simple and harsh, makeing your top seem rather flat and untextured. however it is the right sort of lighting for your face as deep shadow there I feel could turn out bladly. At first I would of said the face is a little to red and over done with makeup, but the then thinking in it it actualy works. I would however of put in a jacket or something with a collar to smooth out the sholders and break the long line of hte neck. Over all though I'd say 7.5 to 8 out of 10 Do like how the background image the pose and the lighting work to push you into the forground.
Just to let you know, Khanid girls have got naturally tan cheeks. Actually, Indahmawar's are smoothed down with blue blush to be less red than natural. So, it's not make up, it's their natural colors. EVE residents: 5% WH; 8% Lowsec; 15% Nullsec; 72% Highsec. CSM 7: 1 highsec resident out of 14.-á

But then, if I break my character's neck, i will notice that before posting. You can bet I've broken it many times while experimenting. I had the same on original Zoe before I made her "white"...still a little sad about it ;)
Ah, I knew it! Ishtanchuk's skin color also was removed, with the added offence that none of the current skins is in the red tan palette (so, according to some viking designer in iceland, 23,000 years in the future latin american people no longer belong to human race and are all extinct... ).
I will consider what you say about hairstyle... the current style is what Indah used most of the time and i felt like going back to the sources after using the bangs and being like Ishtanchuk... but now I needed a pure white piece of cloth and this dress is the only one available, albeit Ish is already using it too... won't change it because it haves a lovely effect with Indah's breast size. Normally I would say decent picture, but hey, we both know that you can do much better than this gray in gray thing. Inda used to be one of the best avatars here. The pose is rather boring and it's lacking expression. Come on, what's the matter, you are good with making avatars, aren't you even trying anymore? Give her an exciting colour pattern, either zoom out for a more interesting pose or chose an exotic angle and some more expression if you want to keep it as a closeup.
Challenge accepted.
I was aiming for something like this, but the eyes couldn't work in a thousand years (thank you, CCP) so I tinkered with it for an hour and... well, you'll see when it goes live. So what do we have here? An overdone avatar. But that's easy to fix. Tone down the lipstick color intensity and shine, remove all that metal junk on your face and just let your freckles do the job, they're awesome. Tone down the tattoo (like 60% intensity) and give a try to brown, you may like it. Eyeliner could go, but better tone it down a tad. Really, use your freckles instead of make up. Your decoletage is awesome hot and it could get hotter with some lighting tricks, albeit that is way more difficult to pull out so don't touch it. Will say 7/10 but you have a lot of potential there. Even with a bra on, still one of the smexiest avatars in the game. I totally buy the natural color lipstick and gloss. Eye shadow is a tad excessive albeit it gives a slutty vibe. What i don't buy are the eyes... they should be looking at the camera, your pose means "do you like what you see?", but the eyes say "oh, oh, you are-a-lookin at mah boobies, aren't you, sir?".

Just a notice of interest to portrait warriors; in case that you're experiencing clipping and other issues with hair (how it looks one way at the creator and way worse after the image server renders it), you shall turn off physics simulation of hair and clothes at your client. The image server doesn't supports that function and what you see on the client w/o physics simulation is a way more accurate impression of what the image server will render afterwards.
tl:dr: turn off physics simulation to create the portrait and you will avoid nasty surprises from the image server. The Greater Fool Bar-áis now open for business, 24/7. Come and have drinks and fun somewhere between RL and New Eden!-áIngame chat channel: The Greater Fool Bar |

Clipping happens primarily due to body-to-head rotation and secondarely due to head-to-neck tilt. Disable physically simulated hair and clothes to get a better impression of how the server will render your portrait, that spares a lot of issues with hair. Nice, but could be improved. The twist angle is so-so, but what is really off it's framing. Move the character to the center so rather than have the left side become a dark blob with the background, it is highlighted by the background texture -that's what those backgrounds are, to draw a "halo" around the character and highlight it.
Currently it's a 7/10, but can improve easily.
