Hey I was wondering which one would be better to fit on An amarr specialised pilot.
I'm flying a Maladiction and a friend told me that missles were better due to tracking speeds. But I'm close of being able to use T2's small lazers. did I train all that for nothing? I have no SP spent in Missle command, should I out some in there to be able to fly my interceptor proficiently?
thanks in advance

Maladiction has bonuses to missiles. If you want to use lasers than get a Crusader. Not the best tackler with only 2 mids, but makes an awesome inty/drone killer.
Also, you will need laser skills if you ever plan on using any of the Amarrian tech 1 ships.

The Malediction is pretty much considered the second best Interceptor for solo work, or Interceptor Damage. But this uses missiles, as missiles don't use tracking speed, so you could keep at your max speed at a distant orbit, with your target locked, and pound them with missiles. No, T2 small weapons aren't a waste, as there's tons of other ships you can use them on. And the skills needed make your damage based ships that much more deadly.
But yes, train up your missile skills and you can do a lot of hurt in a Malediction.

laser vs missiles is risk vs reward
greater risk, greater reward
Yes missiles are easier to use, but you can pull more out of guns, at a greater risk.

they have a higher damage potential, but for the frigate sized lasers on the malediction you would usually risk getting into an enemys web range, losing transversal, having to slow down a lot to make hits or use other potentially dangerous strafing techniques to be effective at both tackling and hitting them. Missiles allow you to orbit a slower (significantly slower that is, you still need to know how to manually fly your missile inty against another inty) ship and keep them tackled while shooting missiles and avoid most damage from their weapons.
