Am I seeing something wrong, or do the new ice harvesters/strip miners look like really fast pulse lasers?
If so...I'm not sure I like it. There was something about the massive, slow beam seeming to "pull" the rock to me...now I feel like I'm shooting it.

To bad they didnt made the asteroids have female shapes. And it would be awesome when you hear trumpet noise when you finish an roid.

Yes they are not right. I hope it's a minor mistake rather than an intentional 'enhancement'

It definately looks like a glitch.
Roids do have the hiccups too, they blow out every now and then.
I sure hope this is not a new graphic for mining lasers beams...

Yeah definetly preferred the 'classic' strip miner effects. The new visual is kinda weak and the sound isn't even done all that well (seems to be cut off at the end, rather unprofessional I thought!) There was no need to change these effects, strange that they did...

I absolutely hate the new mining laser visual and the sound is terrible.
I can't believe I have to turn Eve sound off just because of that one effect.
I really hope it's an error and not a deliberate change.
Then again, Trinity has been released about 2 months early in my opinion, you could tell from being on the test server last week that the patch wasn't even up to a beta standard 
I was gobsmacked when they announced they were actually going to deploy this side of Christmas!
