I would like to ask you guys where this addition is that you SAID was comming out two patches ago? We haven't heard one word about it.
You told us that you weren't going to put in some of the Carrier changes but being able scan out cloaked ships was in either a set of patch notes or in a dev blog slated to be out the by the afore metioned, two patches ago.
So, whats the deal? Are we getting this ability, since there are a LOT of people that feel we need it (and I remember the hugh posts this change was garnering)or is it/has it been scraped? I would really like to know, please!
Thank you

It was initially in a dev post in the comments thread for a dev blog that was posted 18 months ago. Think it where repeated 1 or 2 times more later by devs saying they where looking into it.
Here is the initial quote, please check the date. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=357367&page=2#48 ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Noone ever said it would be possible. However, I recall Oveur saying it will NOT be possible. EVER.
If you want to find the cloaker, cloak your ship and follow the humming sound...
There are 200,000 people active and only 20 or 30 of them are thinking that scanning for cloaked ships is a good idea. You do the math... --- This is your Captain speaking. Thank you for flying with our spaceline. Please remain seated until the ship has completely burned out. Thank you. |

TBH, if you are up against good probers they CAN find you SS even if you use a cloak.
It has happend to us a few times.
Making scanning even more powerful would just be stupid.
Trying to pvp in a hostile system with system scanning array and 2-3 covert ops constant scanning for you as soon as you try to do anything makes things interesting...
Using same SS multiple times even if you have a cloak is suicidal.
And you want it even easier?
Try to learn from people who know what they are doing...

You dont need it. The only people that need it are iskfarmer-hunters and they should stop whining? Whats the point of having a cloak if they can find you anyway? Oh i get it they should rename cloaks to 'hide n seek' modules... Nice hamster! - Mindstar Thanks! We wont touch this sig! - Cortes I lied - Cortes LIAR! |

Well, luckily for myself and the more than 30 people who actually care about this matter, you don't control the direction of the game.
My question is directed towards the Dev team, reguardless of what the rest of you want or don't want.
And my question still stands.

When an enemy develops a way of camouflaging themselves you try to develop an anti-camouflage. I think there should be some way to find cloakers. Maybe there should be other types of camouflage like removing yourself from the overview, idk.
Does anyone know how to get my name capitalized? |

This is absurd. Why on earth would we make the life of ratters MORE difficult than it already is!? Just so you bored pirate vets can have more fun *****ing on the little guys who are still trying to build themselves up in this game?
The devs had said that EVE is about choices. I make the choice in sacrificing a high slot, as well as targeting time, in order to fit a cloak. I might have used that high slot for a tractor beam (more money from looting) or another gun (more money from faster killing), but no I chose a cloaking device so that I can be safe (more money from not being ganked every few hours).
It doesn't make sense to buff pirates, thereby nerfing ratters. Money making is mandatory in order to play EVE. Pirating is just something you do for fun AFTER you've made your dough. Not too mention, as it was stated earlier, there would be no point to a cloaking device if it could be scanned out. Why even have them in the game then?
