Hi, since the new Patch "Trinity" its not more possible to change manually the game server in EVE. In the version it was possible to write for e.x. localhost in the GameServer field.
I need it to do a port forwarding and ssh tunneling!! :)
I also tryed to edit the boot.ini in the eve game folder and i changed the server name into loalhost, but the game detects that, because the checksum are incorect.
can somebody help? how i can made it that the eve client goes over the localhost network connection?
thx Lightmans

You can do this by creating a shortcut to EVE, and add the following parameters to the Target line in the shortcut:
/END /SERVER:127.0.0.1
Replace the IP as appropriate, of course.

ssh -g -L26000:87.237.38.200:26000 user@host Where user@host is your username@SSH_Server
Also, I had an issue where I couldn't tunnel through 127.0.0.1 , so I was able to tunnel through my local LAN/NIC IP.
So my shortcut looks like: C:\Zhoul\Eve\Eve_Gm\eve.exe /end /server:10.54.112.234

ok, When I use putty and everything like I did before, using the above mentioned fix to the server change option. I cant type or use my keyboard at all? I tried different machines also. Same problem. All I'm piping out is the main port 26000. Is there something I'm missing?
