hi, so i have a loot ship with 4 tractors and salvagers and it makes cleaning up after a mission pretty quick.
the thing that hurts my wrist, though, is that every time i loot a can, i have to go through the following steps: 1. click it to open 2. right-click select all 3. drag and drop to my cargo
i realize that doesn't sound like much but after doing it 40 times in a row i started wondering if there is a secret hotkey like in wow that would let me say, shift-click when i open the pod and automatically loot any contents in it. i mean, basically the only time i'm not interested in looting the whole thing is when i'm out of cargo room and need to come back for another run.
is this something that is possible or just wishful thinking?
thanks and cheers. p.s.new graphics in trinity look great!

Suggest it in the ideas and suggestions forum (or whatever it's called). I like the idea of right click -> "loot all" on a wreck if you just want to take everything. Might be hard on freighter wrecks though.
Cheers Falka

Use control+A to select all, or if you have a G15 keyboard make a macro for it.

wow im not sure if the G15 idea is against EULA or not lol. as the input is still from the keyboard. but i suppose its still 3rd party. I have a really nice signature. It doesnt exceed the 24000 byte limit, or the height restrictions - Laice |

G15 is allowed, GM's stated this a while ago. Reasoning is that it's not a autonome macro, it can't do anything on it's own. You have to press a key in order to start the macro which only consists of other keypresses. There is no real programming option for it.
So it's allowed.

hi, thank you for the responses. using ctrl-a definitely helps i didn't realize it worked on an opened wreck!
i am not trying to encourage macroing or any kind of exploit or whatever, i just think it is strange when i do a lot of clicks for what is basically a UI thing over and over again. i use F1-F9 keys and stuff a lot in fights because of this very reason.
i would be quite happy if such a looting command didnt work while you were under fire or anything! basically it is for the slow part after combat..i am always done with a mission and in range and tractoring the cans or wrecks and just think it is funny i have to drag my "opened wreck" window down very close to my cargo icon so the distance i have to move around is smaller because dragging from the loot window to the cargo item at bottom of screen is less taxing on my mouse hand. even if there was a button on the wreck window other than different sorting types it would be more ergonomic..
anyway, cheers! -drewe
