What happens when a corp surrenders in a corp war? What are the consequences?

totally nothing.
iv always said a cash sum should be put in a kitty, from the corp that declared the war. if the corp that declared the war retracts it, the isk, I.E 20mill, would be transfered into the other corps account.
the same would happen to the corp that had the war declared on it, to get out of the war, the ISK put down by the war declaring corp would have to be matched and paid. If it wasnt, the war would continue.
If u declared war on a corp and they did pay the isk, u wouldnt be able to declare war for a set ammount of time on that same corp:).
just an idea, but it would stop the stupid declare war and retract it 20mins later that we have been getting.
just a thought.

i thought the declaring corp had to acknowledge the surrender in order for it to be effective ? If not thats lame. I suppose the corp that declared the war could always declare it again if the other guys keep surrendering but thats just kinda dumb.

it is tottaly stupid.
Put it this way, they can declare war, retract it, attack u for 24hours, then it ends .
it needs to b looked into.

A big problem i have come across is when u declair war on a corp that corp quit the game or move somewhere else then u cant end the war... its a damn annoying bug. ----------------------- ╔╤╗╒╕╔╕║║/ ║│║╘╛║╘╝║\ ----------------------- |

True, very silly to have ongoing war with a corp with no members in it. Is there no time limit or anything?
It is quite silly that a corp can just surrender and then that's it war the war and nothing happens. Maybe it is to protect the smaller corps against an unwanted anihilation war(how is that spelled? lol) with a big corp.

We were at war with a corp and never realised it, when I read the first mail, I was like whoooopie....Im off to Torrinos to get me some easy kills and teach these guys that declaring war on pirate corps is really stupid. So I kitted up my ship, undocked, then read the rest of my mails and found it had been retracted...

Surrender thingy is a trade window, both CEO¦s have to be in the same station to make it official.

So both CEOs have to agree to the surrender? Can the "winner" decline the surrender and continue the war?

Edited by: Interferon on 11/03/2004 20:22:48 What ever happened to: "To the Victor goes the Spoils"? I was under the assumption that the corp who won the war would get ALL corporate assets of the other corp? In other words they would get everything of value that the other corp has? isk, bp's (if any) and even the office space of loser corp hq would be handed over to winning corp (the loser would get 48hrs to get out, and that space would only be rented to the winner). Just my 2 cents, but isn't a war, well a WAR? Shouldn't the winner get everything? Also what about having the losing corp be disbanded completely, no longer a corporation as it has surrendered? Seem too harsh? Well WAR ain't a picnic.

That would not work, because then you'd get powerful corps who'd just declare war on smaller corps to take their assets.
What'd be the point of getting a good blueprint or item if someone will just declare a war that you can't hope to win?

Well there is no need to meet to surrender. Once the 2 ceos have negoted the terms for surrender, its is easier for the CEO who inited the war to retract the war than fly half the galaxy thorugh hostile space to meet.

That is correct. If the victor got all the spoils it would open the way of "bullying". I guess it will be hard to find a way that all will accept

Well Darth lets say you can pay us 1 billion isk and we'll consider your surrender.
Hope you enjoyed posting a couple of ATUK 'kills' (wont go into further detail) on your killboard, talk about biting off more than you can chew....sucks to be you right now. I might post our Celestial Apocolypse kill figures at end of week....if my pen doesnt run out of ink keeping track.
Last night was a taste of what is going to happen to you EVERY night from now on. Flee back to PA now .....if they will have you again.
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

I would like to add the two ship losses we suffered were replaced by the ever vigelant GM's as we all suffered a CTD, many thanks to the GM's for resolving the issue in under 24hours nice one.
To Celest there will be no more running to the safety of empire, as Estios stated 1bil and we might consider your surrender otherwise the worst for you is yet to come.

Doesn't it ever get old? We've been ****ing people off for months and months now and somehow who believe that youll be the corp that break us
This post was made by someone who wanted an actually question answered, and Darth did his best to do so, but CA muppets have to come along like clockwork and post some bull****(as always)dude seriouslly ...you arent the first to believe you can beat us, and you wont be the last.
Give the smack a rest til you actaully kill someone, and im not talking about 20 ship vs 2 ganks... nothing to be flapping your lips about

To Celest, the point of this war is make you aware that your very much out your depth in terms of player skill, and to hopefully stop you posting crap all the time about how uber you are, tbh your not at all very good.
To the Div who recons we sit in roid belts all day, who are you? Need I say more.
In short please keep coming to Curse Celest we are making some great movies killing you. Oh and next time bring some more people the fleet you saw last night was just a tiny amount of what we're gonna send.

So what your saying is your going to to teach us some humility by proving how uber you are ?
And if we are out of our depth as far as skills go well can I say a big thank you from all at CELEST for the training you are about to give us
Oh well proof is in the pudding.

Celest...... hrm. You may indeed have some decent pvp'ers.... can't say tbh, however, for the amount of crap you guys talk, I've never seen you guys accomplish anything of note. Evolution..... Just when you thought you were winning.
