Edited by: Krestin on 10/12/2007 08:00:19 This is more of a question than a schedule, I would like to see if there are enough players willing to participate in a 200ppl Poker Tournament, 1bil guaranteed this following Sunday night. Let me know if your're interested (post here); also entry fee is subject to change depending on what most of you want (if you want it). Payment structure is also subject to change depending on popular request. Load it, Fire it up, and see you at the tables :)
Entry fee: 30,000,000 +3mil Prizes: 6bil ISK (200/200 seats full)
Payout structure:
1st place: 1,680,000,000 2nd place: 996,000,000 3rd place: 609,000,000 4th place: 474,000,000 5th place: 408,000,000 6th place: 348,000,000 7th place: 282,000,000 9th place: 222,000,000 10th place: 156,000,000 11th place: 120,000,000 12th place: 90,000,000 13th place: 75,000,000 14th-21st place: 60,000,000

Thanks for your interest. The tournament will be held at a major poker site. I have two variants right now. One is a private freeroll, the other is a regular tournament with 1cent buy-in. As the latter option I think is against the eula, it will probably be a freeroll.

ello Uoy and thanks for dropping by :) The answer is no, I was thinking it would be a fun thing to do. Then I saw your post and got a bit worried that someone had the idea before me. But then I logged in and saw the software :) Anyways, feel free to drop me an evemail maybe we can combine the two tournaments for an even bigger prize :)

Hey Krestin, good idea and i like that the poker community keeps on growing. I played in the Eve Online Hold'em tourney Found hereand its was fun, curzon had set it to 9 tables with 9 at each table but in the end "only" 6 tables got filled up so for you to get 200 ppl arent really realistic imo so my suggestion to you is that you find alternate setups with less ppl.
Anyway just a little of my feedback and along with my best wishes Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Valorem ([email protected]) |

Edited by: Krestin on 11/12/2007 15:13:29 That would be a good suggestion Dragon. The smallest multi-table tournament I can hold is a 50 players tournament. Keeping the same entry fee, the prizes are:
1st place: 1,110,000,000.00 2nd place: 660,000,000.00 3rd place: 450,000,000.00 4th place: 330,000,000.00 5th place: 240,000,000.00 6th place: 210,000,000.00
Smaller tables (5 or 10 ppl sit&go) are also available . But for those there would be a symbolic real money entry fee of 0.75$ (not because of me, but due to the company hosting the games for us). I'd say DOA Poker and Corazon's room are a better alternative for 2-9 ppl sit & go tables. Weekly Eve Poker Tournament |

The fundamental, single most important thing involved in this mate is... who are you and should we trust you with our isk...
An alt corp member is unlikely to be trusted, because there's nothing stopping you running with the isk tbh. At least a main character with some recognition in game would have something to lose by doing this. __________________________________________________________________________

Krestin is my EW character. I've played this game since 2004, one of my characters was Orange Species (unfortunately sold him a couple of years ago), another is Malstorm (scientist, used to be one of the top 10 scientists this summer, acording to ineve.net). Another char is Mr Ozzy. Most recent corp I've been in is Quam, and you could probably drop Malet or Nagilam an eve-mail and they'll confirm that although I wasn't a very active player, I didn't rob their corp, on the contrary, I donated maybe a bil or two. About my chars being in newb corps, I wasn't very active playing eve (I was mostly afk or ratting), so I decided to leave the corp and dwell in empire, in newb corps, doing nothing all day but trading the markets (or going berserk once in a while in low sec). Now, about the isk being held by me. I don't have any problems with a neutral, trusted 3rd party holding them until the tournament is over. I certainly don't want to take the money, because, if you think it in perspective, there's more profit if there are more tournaments organized and played each day or week, compared with what you're suggesting. In short, I want to develop a long-term relationship and running for the hills with the isk certainly won't accomplish that :)

I think we might need more details on the actual poker tourny/client. I would like to see if the client works well and is trust worth blah blah blah. I ,of course, am interested if it is an actual tourny not a "last man standing at the table moves on" type deal the others are doing. The payouts are respectable to actual tournies so you have my interest there as well. You may want to just start a poker channel to earn more trust before we all just jump in your first tourny.

I've followed your advice and set up an ingame channel. Join "Tempest Poker". I am just one guy, with a real life to live, so don't expect me to be there 24/7. I am currently looking for players that wish to help with this project, any ideas and/or feedback are welcomed. The client is stable, and, in my opinion, one of the best clients regarding it's features. The site that uses it is part of the Microgaming network (formerly Prima Poker). I hear what your saying, but I entered one of his freeroll events and am now 75 mill isk richer. It was a good game at a fantastic poker site and the prizes were paid immediately after the game.
I'm definately in for Sunday night
