Yeah. My pc suxxors. :( But i'll get an upgrade soon and hopefully they'll finally deliver my 8800gt. So, i'll be joining the fun again soon. If you meant deliberately then no never ever. The new graphics is great.

I did for a day or two... my computer is borderline, so to speak. I can play premium, but get a sort of 'smooth mouse' effect, which annoys me somewhat. (I rotate the camera around my ship, then stop, and the camera will keep rotating for half a second or so).
and I can't watch anime while I play EVE when in 'premium mode' :P
still... it does look *really* nice. so I went back ;)

Sure, 18 fps instead of 60 fps is totally unacceptable in my book. On the bright side I don't have to endure these horrible baby blue gallente ships.

Haven't updated to new graphics yet, because of my Graphics card. It'S a Radeon 850, SM2.0 only. Maybe next year...

i love the new graphics, but my computer is basically top of the line. The requirements for the new graphics are fairly high, but thats why they left the old engine there for the older comps.

Even if I had my 3D card repaired under warranty (will get round to it sometime...) I'd not use the new engine, I can't stand what they did to Amarr.

I have a nearly top of the line comp with a very fast video card (8800GTX) and I have gone back to classic graphics mostly.
I love the new look and it is fantastic but when windowed and running 2 accounts it is way too flaky to be worthwhile. My machine can handle it but it is glitchy with odd hiccups and so on.
Occasionally I go back to the new graphics to enjoy a bit if I am not doing much but for most of my actual work in EVE it is classic all the way.

I never left.
I'm afraid there is a Death Boot.ini space station over there ready to initiate primary ignition on my video card.[
Remember the huge planet eating transformer "the Unicron" from the 80's animated movie...it could be over there.. The Uniboot.ini
I'm suffering from "post traumatic boot.ini disorder".
I'll get around to it

I've got two clients installed. One that I can enable Premium on, which I run with the new textures, and one that I haven't downloaded the new content for and is running on the old engine.
Best of both worlds.

I've moved back to the classic graphics. I don't know why, but Trinity likes to make my video card (GeForce 7300 GS) go into an infinite loop sometimes and I get the blue screen of death. Switching back to the classic graphics makes this happen less often, but unfortunately it does still happen. Didn't used to happen with Revelations II. - SirTKAR

I run a 6600GT with an Athlon 3000+
I upgraded for a few days, and if you turn the graphics down low you can run with 30-50 FPS. Which is good enough.
But last night I tried running two accounts on the same machine and it bogged down the computer something awful. So this morning I uninstalled the premium graphics, and installed the old graphics. At least now when I quit one account, it will close right away without slowing down my system.

I did, i can easily run the premium content on max but it hasn't changed game play.. i could care less about the new graphics. They were fine the way they were and i'd rather them have put that bazillion or whatever man years into content and fixes.

I switched back to Classic, as well as several others in my corp due to stability reasons, I had it freeze up / bug / crash several times, classic is just stable as a rock.

I run with a GeForce 8800GT, and I've switched back to Classic myself. EVE crashes on me using the premium client, and windows event viewer mentions something about an error in the blue.dll module. I redownloaded and reinstalled twice, same effect. Filing it as a bug report got me told that it's not a bug, and I should take it up with the GMs. If it's not a bug, then what is it? But for now, happily playing with classic. Performance is great there, even over 2 monitors I still get 140-160 FPS in station :)

Yep, I tend to have two accounts online, so classic for me, the new graphics tend to freeze at times, for me anyway.

It's quieter and has less overhead using the classic client, so I moved back.
I'm usually either semi-afk (so saving cpu cycles is nice) or in combat (where I'd honestly just rather have the performance), so running premium on my older hardware isn't optimal.
I expect I'll eventually migrate to it as I upgrade the hardware, though.

My PC supposedly can handle the new graphics (get 50-60 FPS in space) but I get lots of UI lag when engagements start. The past two engagements I was in I had a considerable amount of UI lag right at the beginning of the engagement, and while I may have lost those engagements anyway, I at least would've had more of a fighting chance then I ended up with. So, I switched back to classic last night. Prefer performance over eye candy anyway.

I never went to the new graphics, and guess what? I STILL get the "missing textures" problem. I can't imagine how it would be if I tried to run the <sarcasm>"premium"</sarcasm> content.

I tried premium...then went back to classic.
Premium bogged my machine down too much(E6600@3k, x1950pro, 2gb)and I like to run 2 clients. Also, as somebody else said, I rather have higher fps than prettier ships.

the flickering of menues and windows, in "premuim" graphics is a joke....
framerates are a joke..
ccp's crappy in coding shows, from the drones ai , right down to the colours ,l and the sloooowwwwnes of menus all through the game.
this graphic upgrade reminds me of starwars galaxies "combat upgrade"
and YES i could do better, and no noone can have my stuff.

Edited by: Terail Zoqial on 11/12/2007 21:23:58 I'm getting the hang of the new client now and only pop back to the old one for when I have my 2 accounts on the go.
Can't wait until they add better gfx for the backgrounds, planets and effects...oooh and ambulation (or waaahmbulation as the whiners would say )
I'm quite happy with my visual lot atm thankies
Oh yeah, my specs are
AMD 4200 x2 2 gig o' ram Nvidia 8600 gts
Works smooth as a smooth thing even at 1080i with full bloom and normal shadows. Setting chache size to 'off' really helps when watching vids n' stuff.

When running two accounts i sometimes use classic when running 1 I use premium....
I usually run two premiums at the same time cause classic is just ugly now.
although somethings the premium flickering bug is a pain :\

I'm considering heading to Classic again. For some reason, every now and again objects in space (ship/object names, asteroids, scenery) start to flicker, which annoys me.
