Hi, I just got back to the game over a week ago, after about a year and a half break.
My sec status is -5.4 and I need to raise it a bit so I can travel to some higher sec systems. I needed a new ship for ratting and the only one I could find that was close to me, was 1 jump away in a .8 system. I know concord likes to chase me around in high sec since i'm outlaw status. But, does concord end up hanging around the station even after I log out? All I want to do is undock and do a 180 and align to the gate to jump out, but by the time that happens, concord is all over me.

Edited by: etgfrogs on 13/12/2007 18:43:58 if your trying to do that in a big ship then fat chance....you will have a better chance to in a pod....i wouldn't recomend warp core stabs since concord jams for a nigh infinant amount but i would recomend nanos and inertia dampeners.
edit note: they will go away after a little bit... FROG! |

In .8 systems faction police will spawn as soon as you undock. Unless you are in an inty, or there is an insta undock from the station, they are probably going to get you.
My advice is buy your ship elsewhere, get an alt to fly it for you, or load up on internal stabs (the ones that give you an agility boost) and pray.

Edited by: Takahashi Clutch on 13/12/2007 19:14:16 Edited by: Takahashi Clutch on 13/12/2007 19:12:16 I would've worked around that with my alt, but he can't fly the ship yet. I weighed personal convenience over having to make alot of jumps to get the ship, but I guess I'll have to do some traveling.
*but, before that I will try one more time after work, since that will be about 8 hours logged out.
Thanks for the infos.

With your low sec status, faction police and/or Concord will spawn almost immediately, and you will be popped in no-time, which means you will lose your shiny new ship. You will not be able to get away in time.
I suggest you set up a contract to have someone deliver the ship to a low-sec system, or train an alt to do so; it'll probably be cheaper than having to buy another ship someplace else after this one gets popped.

if you are criminally flagged (red GCC in the upper left corner), Concord will pwn you. Concord bad.
if you are below -5.0 and not GCCed, "just" the faction policy will pwn you. Still bad.
I don't know if station-instas help as I don't know if factions follow you (concord does, I know that one.. :P)

Faction police will spawn anywhere, even inside a hi-sec pos shield (My shuttle wasn't very happy about that )
I've heard of people making it out of higher sec systems in a ship, but your chances are pretty low tbh ____________________ Hi. I'm not an alt :) |

No problem for you sir! I am here to help.
Contract the ship to me, I will deliver it anywhere you wish it delivered to for a very nominal fee of 5000 isk per jump. EvE mail or convo me. I'm here to help.

Sell the ship, get your isk back, then set up a contract or buy order in a 0.5 system near 0.4 space for the ship you want. Obviously you will need to set your asking price higher than your local hub, but some people will travel that far to make a quick isk. =============================================

Good god learn to be not F***ing ********!
CONCORD ONLY hits you when you agress against a player. THAT IS IT. Well, and CONCORD of course...
FACTION POLICE are the ones that shoot at you if you have a low sec status and go into high sec. They will not chase you to a safespot or to a planet. They stay strictly at stations and gates.
THEY WILL NOT POD. So there's a big hint right there. Throw that together with the hint about an insta undock. Here's another hint, THEY ARE TANKABLE. Unlike CONCORD that pretty much 1 hits any ship, Faction Police are tankable.

shooting wrecks or cans will do the trick. There is also one other way to trigger a gcc.

They most certainly will follow you to a planet.

use the insta pop to your advantage. If it's a t1 ship insure it fully. that way when you die you might even make some money on it -

If what you want to get out is a cruiser, then just make an amarr alt with all the pre-reqs for cargo expanders and amarr industrial. Cruisers only take up 10k of space. And going the amarr route will mean you only take a few hours to get all skills trained.
If you want to take out a battleship, move all your mods with alt to said 0.8. Make sure you fit a decent tank against the npc type of dmg. Undock and bbq the police, making sure that the npc you shoot at has already agroed you. When all is clear and there are no npcs shooting you, then you are free to warp around system without interferance. If you dock and undock again there will be a new spawn. Some ships are hard to hit, so id reccomend a target painter and a web. Also be aware that anyone who sees you can also shoot, this being the case make sure that you are within docking range.
