So I wanted to anchor a PoS in Caldari space I got together with a real life buddy and started looking for the best way to go about getting corporate standings with the Caldari State. We realised it would be much better if only one of us did the grind (with the other flying along to help but staying at 0.0 standings to satisfy the average) We have got pretty far into it but noticed that the thing is still taking my 0.0 standings into account.
Is that because I am CEO? or perhaps it's a bug? My standings are exactly -0.00 (Neutral) i've never killed a caldari ship or done a storyline or even assisted or aggressed a faction other than pirates. |

There are multiple points to make here.
1) Corp standings don't update correctly. They will be the correct value, however you won't always see it unless you clear your cache (pita really)
2) It takes 7 days in a corp before your standings effect corp standings.
3) -0.00 is not the same as Neutral. You only have Neutral standings when its not listed at all. -0.0 will factor into corp standings. |

I noticed I was on the list of "Show Composition" in the corporation standings window
2) It takes 7 days in a corp before your standings effect corp standings.
It's my corporation and i've been a member for a month

I can't comprend how I managed to get -0.00 standings though, I have 2 accounts and take both to every mission, one is listed the other is not. Thats why I wondered if it took the fact that I was CEO into consideration. |

Is it possible you ran Mordu's Folly? Its a level 4 that has a Caldari State Industrial in it. You don't have to shoot it, but if you do you will lose Caldari standings. A single Combat-kill or Combat-Aggression would make you -0.00. |

I have not done any level 4 missions on this character. There was that level 2 that asked me to kill caldari ships that had "gone rouge" but i'm no expert |

Have everyone but the person who has the standing to let corp anchor the tower for a week. Once the standings are satifactory, put up pos, done. |

Show compositions never lies.
If you have an entry in your character standings sheet for the faction, then you count towards standings (after 7 days of being in the corp). Boot out whoever is dragging the standings down (just before downtime), reinvite them the next day, get 7 days to anchor your tower. |

I read a post that said it works like this
Standing change is a gradual affair with your corporation's standings recalculated each downtime. Standings move towards the average character standing at a rate of 25% of the difference between the current corporation standing and the average character standings.
So if they joined for 7 days and left it wouldn't work as on the 7th day only 25% of your standing would become effective. (Assuming the corp was at 0.0 to begin with and no other members had standing) and on the 8th day after you left, the corporation standing would fall back to 0.0 |

If no one in the corp has standings they never change again unless someone that isn't neutral joins the corp or someone gains standings. And regardless of that, once the tower is anchored it doesn't matter. Once its up standings don't matter anymore, unless you want to anchor another. |

Well I was responding to this.
Boot out whoever is dragging the standings down (just before downtime), reinvite them the next day, get 7 days to anchor your tower.
That wouldn't technically work would it. For example if the corp had 0.00 standing and I had 6.00 standing and i was the only member of the corp and it was the 7th day the corp would only grow by 25% of the difference so the corp standing would be 1.50, the day after it would grow by 25% of the difference between 1.50 and 6.00 making the 8th days standings 2.6 the 9th would be 3.46, 10th 4.09 11th 4.56, 12th 4.92, 13th 5.19, 14th 5.39 and it would actually take longer than a week to get close to your maximum standing.
Assuming the statement I posted before is correct.
Standing change is a gradual affair with your corporation's standings recalculated each downtime. Standings move towards the average character standing at a rate of 25% of the difference between the current corporation standing and the average character standings. |

That statement is historically accurate but out of date, as things haven't worked that way for about 2 years now (CCP changed it about 2 years ago).
Standing calculations are now instantly adjusted, every DT, and are based on the average of every player who has been in the corporation for at least 7 days, who has any standings at all (not null) with the faction.

If I were to guess, my first point on the checklist would be that you did a tutorial mission for the Gallente in your early days.
As for fixing it, as others have mentioned, once you have a standing, you have a standing. Going back to GǣnullGǥ is pretty much impossible. However, it is indeed possible to simply dump the offending character, and reinvite when the standings adjust themselves to the single remaining character. After that, you have a 7-day window until the average resets to include the old/new/old/ehmmmGǪ recruit.
The only other timer to be aware of is the 24h it takes to drop roles and transfer CEO-ship before you can quit. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

you could try right clicking on your caldari state standings, and "show transactions".
It should show why you are at -0.00
