I would like to say this isnÆt anywhere near fair or balanced, a 200ML copy should have an advantage over a 1ML copy no matter if its 1 resource point these are exactly the same and pretty much my investment of time wasted?
I herd you hired a few real world encomiasts to run eve please for the love of god hire a few mathematicians too.
So before you explain this with some odd form of Iceland math please think about how that is any way fair ?
If your going to set limits on ML below the maxium of 10% say so.

If I recall the "optimal" (as in, no waste) ME is highest resource / 5 rounded down.
Translation : You didn't do your research, wasted time, money, and an ME slot for no bonus.

The way waste is rounded off in Trinity, the 200ML copy should actually use a bit less resources when running off large batches of the items.

Aye I have herd that wee... so there is a slight advantage, honestly to the guy that said the other stuff, That whole magically knowing needs to stop if ccp ever wants to see a million accounts.
Ps: User friendly is a good idea when you want money just helpful hint ccp. I own a small company in RL and gross about 7-15M yearly. Helpful and great deal are my middle names at the expense of your RL wallet. people here seem way to bash happy and mean i am sure that scares alot of your paying customers away.

wasteage of 2.5% means for every 100 units there will be 2 waste for a total of 102
with a wastege of 10% the build stats will still be the same except for needing 13 mexallon. not to mention there is very little to building these me wont matter much at all anyways
welcome to research.

Conversely the "knowledge gap" (all it takes is effort to search) is what separates the successful from the less then successful industrialists. It's not magically knowing, a lot of things in this game are secretive, CCP don't want every part of the game finely calculated to the nth digit. Research (barring invention) is very well documented by players and the player guide. Some things in EVE take a lot of time to figure out, and those who do profit from them.

The figures you are dealing with are far too small to make comparisons.
That said, anything more than a ME20 is getting into the realms of infinitesimal gains. It's no wonder that there are so few research slots with players like you wasting time researching beyond ME20 for no worthwhile gain.
Maybe ME50 would be worth it for a BS blueprint where the wasteage factor for trit is in the realms of millions but ME200 is not worth it for any BPO. I have manufactured for 2 years in Eve and none of my BPO's are researched beyond ME25.

Icelandic math is very simple, 1 + 1 = two icicles but it can also equal to three, four, or five if those additional ones have already melted
researching most BPOs past 15-20 rounds is not practical as the ISK gain from further research does now pay off the profits that you could be making already producing the item instead of waiting for it to research further - with BPOs that use few materials the rounding makes material usage appear equal
use the ML Calc application to figure out optimal research levels for you BPOs to stop losing time and money

Allot of helpful info here thank you all. The rules obscurity is rather insane in eve. but I guess when you pump 2-3 pages of patch notes a month it gets that way.
I am no stranger to online games played them for 10 years now donÆt know if this one is good yet still debating it.
Thank you all for helping me understand and too find that rare rule in patch note #234 in appendix B on paragraph 12, I never would have had the time to find that. You guys rock thankyou agian

OP fails at math, planning, and reading the forums! I hope you paid lab fees in a research alliance to get that ME level on a BP that wasn't really worth researching in the first place, or at the very least flew your own POS and wasted all the time on that.

Indeed.. So with a starting material need of 1 isogen how much less than 1 can you get? Now if this had been a BS bp with its millions of materials then you would have gotten a great reduction.. Gallente the New Pink«

Just to point it out: you don't have production efficiency 5, right?
To reduce the last point of mexallon you need production efficiency, researching the BPO, even to 20.000 will do nothing. And it will influence all of your BPO and BPC.

No, like you didn't do your research with the BPO's you haven't done it with that comment either. You can't help but fail can you? The reason those games have so many subscribers is because they are pick up and play and hand everything to you on a plate. EVE on the other hand you have to get off your arse and engage your brain before doing anything.
And yes, I have played both the aforementioned games quite extensively.

If you can't handle it, which it seems you can't, then go back to hello kitty online. Eve is supposed to be harsh. Most people want a nice easy game, so they play WoW or EQ, or whatever, Eve is not easy, its borderline anti-player. Deal with it.
To go ontopic:
Researching something up to ME200 is just nuts. Anyone who did a little reading on the forums will know that ME20 is excellent, ME25 is good for BS BPC's etc. Anything above that is a waste of time. =============================================

Well, while you're saying things like this, take a look at yourself, too. "How you treat others is how you will be treated in return." So, when you start off with things like an insult to CCP's mathematics, don't expect to get the most polite response.

Your only real mistake was to start off bitterly angry and insulting. I mean, think about how any of this:

I do my best to honestly help those that are truly looking for an answer to why something is happening, or how they should have done this or that. But when they start acting like a ****ant, whining and insulting CCP and other players for something they just don't understand in the first place, well, don't expect the warmest welcome on that from me, or many other players here.

I would say eve has no more than 50k active players. probably 20k weekenders/occasional players and another 20k or so that just change skills and little else. the rest would be second and third accounts.
eve is not a game for people wanting to just play a game for a while, relax and enjoy. you are required to be involved to the level of saying goodbye to rl to be accepted by the diehard fans. this plus the fact that the company running the game encourages griefing whenever possible tends to draw a select group of customers.. i think you classified them as banefull youth hehe.
anyway its good to play for a while, but if you have experienced some decent online games in the past, you will be disappointed by the waste of time. you come to play chess, you end up with battleship.
it is really still worth the try though, because you can do some entertaining things on the way to realizing how shallow the game really is. i mean the ultimate in this game is fleet battles, and for the most part fleet battles are impossible. so all your isk gathering is for the sake of some VERY limited pvp action. make no mistake, there is less true pvp in eve than any other online game out there. most so called pvp is really pve because there are so few willing to risk a weeks grind of mission running/killing rats just for the pleasure of one single battle, that people make sure they will come out on top, or the fight doesnt exist. ie no balance.
