I have two monitors (in standard dual view mode), and three accounts.
When I play Eve, I like to load my main account client in windowed-mode in the primary monitor, and put my second and third accounts (if I'm bothered triple-tasking) in windowed-mode in the secondary monitor. That way I can constantly keep an eye on two characters at once.
I can still achieve this... However!!
It used to be that each account stored separate graphics settings. This meant that my alt accounts were automatically setup for the second monitor, so when loading them and after moving the client to the correct monitor, they ran decent FPS-wise because the client was setup for the right monitor. (unless you're blind, you'll notice that if an eve-client is setup for one monitor, but is running windowed in another monitor, you get approximately a 50% performance loss compared to when it's sitting completely in the monitor it's setup for)
But since Trinity, because of the changes to the client, I can't keep all my characters having individual monitor settings. The monitor settings saved (when I stop playing for example), is always the one's in the last client to be closed down.
Meaning... It's now become a royal PITA to keep running multiple clients on multiple monitors at max performance. Every time I start playing, I NOW need to load the multiple clients as usual, but then change monitor setting for the character(s) that are meant to run on another monitor.
I never used to need to do this... thanks Trinity
Is there a way to resolve this?

Maybe dual or several installations of the game itself solves it, with folders like EVE, EVE1, EVE2 and a unique shortcut to each folder?

Considering the client folder on the hard-drive does not store the cache or settings anymore, I'm pretty certain this won't work.
The settings are in a central location... [user-folder]/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/settings

Was going to post my own but saw this. I have two accounts one I keep on low graphics for salvaging and what not, and the other on high because I'm actually looking at it. Now I can't keep the audio OR video settings separate as they are determined by the last changes made in the client.
I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall, two client two separate folders but it still does it. This is annoying the ever loving **** out of me.

there's a command line switch you can start eve up with that will read settings from the install directory and not your mydoc's folder. i can keep my dual logins seperated this way, one with trinity uber graphics and one with regular graphics. much easier on my vid card :)
i dont remember what it is off the top of my head, so if someone posts it great, otherwise i'll look it up when i get home from work

create a new shortcut to eve.exe modify the target line to look like this:
"C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF
when you launch eve with the 2nd shortcut it runs off the local dir, you can have multiple settings. like i said, i have my trinity client and my regular client
hope this helps :)

The "/end /LUA:OFF" option works fine, however it requires multiple copies of the client.
Here is the better answer: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=527827
I've used the suggestions here to successfully achieve multiple client caches and settings (one for each account), and still requiring only one copy (install) of the client.
