First you have removed belt spawns from overview, which makes no sense realistically.
Then you have removed cosmic anomalies from directional scan. You said it was a bug, but that ôbugö was really a motivation for new players and old alike to have access to something different from missions and belt ratting without the hassle of cov op/probe launchers training. That also removed that one extra fight ground that all pvp oriented player are crying for years now. Now you canÆt see if that guy is doing an anomaly, mission or just sitting on some ss. And it makes no sense that you have on-board scanner but to use it effectively you have to have another moduleà. At least It doesnÆt have sense to me..
Last, but not less important, you removed wrecks from scanner, protecting even more every mission runner and ratter.
Why is eve turning from PVP game in every aspect into a carebear game to the end? Why are carebears so protected? Why are we loosing battlegrounds, not gaining them? Why is EVE becoming WoW in space?
Only reason I can see is that you guys in CCP are focused on getting more money, not loving the game and players that play ità
Please, CCP, show us PVPers some love, carebears are safe nowà

You realize that all ships have a built-in scanner used to find cosmic anomolies, right? And that you can use said built-in scanner to find them still (different from the directional scanner)?

You do realise that you need to scan up to 10 times to find a low signal anomaly? It was no problem when directional said "yea, around this planet there is an anomaly, you just need to use build in scanner to pin this one down".. Can you imagine how it is to scan 10 times every planet in a system with 10 planets and not found enything becouse there wasn't anything there in the first place? --------- I want to phew phew

If you don't find anything, it's because you're looking in a system with too many people in.

Do you think new players would know to use the directional scanner in conjunction with the anomaly scanner in the first place? Or is this more likely to be the technique of you, the ganker, because you would already be using the directional scanner to locate targets?

Hey, EVE is about learning, and there are plenty of resources out there.
So, basically, your argument is ôitÆs to hard to be used by a newb so itÆs better not to be in the game mechanicsö?
No, it's not hard to be used by a newb.. Let me show it to you: warp to a planet, unmark "Use overview settings", write 750000000 in range, angle 360, click "scan" If ("cosmic anomaly on the list") use on-board scanner to pinpoint it.
that's hard? --------- I want to phew phew

The point is that the technique you're describing would be used much more often by someone looking for a player doing the anomalies than by someone looking for an anomaly. Therefore, you argument that this harms new players is disingenuous. Your other statement:
Originally by: Hul'ka i'm not talking low sec.. 0.0 is the name of the game..
Also suggests this since many fewer new players will be in 0.0 instead of low-sec/high-sec (five times fewer at least).
So if you're arguing that pirates should be able to scan for cosmic anomalies and belt spawns to more easily find targets, then make it. Don't try and outsmart us by suggesting that this is to benefit new players. ---------------- Tarminic - 29 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.76.2 |

It has it's positive side. Many so-called "carebears" are your suppliers. Randomly attacking the people who supply the stuff you need can have it's ramifications.
Fer'instance, imagine, if you will, the satisfaction gained when you stumble across the wreck of some misguided pvper who's been attacking you, and you steal his T2 stuff, put it on the market, and see him buy it back from you an hour later at an inflated price.
There's more ways of fighting than simply pointing guns at people. And besides, many of you PVPers are simple bullies that will only fight when you're gaurenteed a win. Going after PVE equipped mission runners is a classic example. So it's great fun ripping you guys off in the market. Like selling you small hybrid ammo at 80,000 ISK a pop. LOL.

WTF are you talking about? I've been in systems where the spawns come practically on top of each other. I've had one belt spawn on me so fast I had wrecks from two previous spawns I hadn't had a chance to salvage yet.
It does run hot and cold, though, typically its 45-60 minutes between spawns, but every so often, there are belts that just unload hell upon you, and pray the ammo bin runs deep.

Yes, some of those carebeears are my supliers, but does them mean they have to be put out of harm's way? Hey, i do carebear sruff also.. I do missions also.. I rat in belts.. I transport goods.. I sell and buy and all the good stuff.. Does that mean i have to be protected by all means possible when i'm doing some carebearing? I think not.. What i think made this game so great is that it alowed people to be whatever they wanted to be in this big universe and still they ware part of the same game..
Anyways, my itention wasn't for us to focus on that one element from my first post, cosmic anomalies, but the whole concept of losing stuf from overview... Why are we losing intel? This may seam a bit drastic, but i newer fly w/o my scanner open, and since all those changes it's like space is using colors. Also, the idea of new places to fight.. station huggin, gate camping... it's all becoming a bit... well, you know..

I didn't mind removing rats from overview. Cosmic anomalies... I did. This will make finding all the good ones almost impossible unless you are very lucky to get it on scan first time. A really stupid move in my opinion and now even less people will use them. They're meant to be easy to find to get some good pve action(!!1!). PVE aspect doesn't need more waiting and crap just to get into an anom which prolly wont drop anything good.
I honestly didn't realise they removed wrecks. This must be a pretty recent introduction, and if true, will make it impossible to tell if someone's in a mission or just at a safespot. Another stupid move.
So yeah, /signed mostly

Going for fights where you think you'll lose is called being stupid. I don't want to buy GTCs/mission run/rat/etc to fund piracy - I prefer piracy funding piracy ;)
Of course, if you're the guy who, upon seeing a five-man gatecamp, charges in his battlebadger, all the power to you. However, I doubt you do, making you a hypocrite.

Only someone terminally stupid would buy that. I have a alt to resupply me, thank you. Although I manufacture small/med ammo and frigs out of your reprocessed T1 modules, it always makes me warm and fuzzy to know I'm pirating in the remains of your wreck.

This is not a big deal at all. They weren't there at first, and then a bug put them there, and now they're not there again.
Step 1.) Warp to planet Step 2.) Use on board scanner (which has a very high chance of finding CAs, so maybe run it twice if you don't get a hit the first time) Step 3.) You found them Step 4.) Quit whining.

Now do this in a 120AU system with 10 planets and compare it to warping through the system hitting scan. Whats more fun.

Most/all of the changes CCP have introduced have been dumbing down the game, making it easier, more basic and more simple to play (and avoid getting killed). If you want to start drawing parallels with WoW, WoW has 8 million subcribers, CCP have less than 200k (I think), that might have something to do with it.
