Delusion of Grandeur and Maximum Yarrage declared war on my peaceful mining corp about 4 hours ago.... We are in no way armed (or ready even if we were armed) to fight a war. Is there any way to end this peacefully? Im very new to corporate operations and any input on the situation would be much appreciated...

2. Suicide into your enemies repeatedly.
3. Eventually you get a few decent kills. Let's say you kill a couple BS, cruisers, HACs, and they kill 300 frigates.
4. You've still killed far more than you've lost, because Rifters really don't cost much.

they prolly wanna extort you. Guess you can arrange it to pay them to leave you alone. But then they could come for more. You can fight them as explained in post above and slowly learn pvp or pay pro`s to do it (mercs).

Primary T2 ships first because they cannot be insured and cost a lot, starting with Recons, then Heavy Assault ships.
You can turn this war declaration into an x-mas present if you choose to.
Take this as a blessing in disguise for your corporation to grow.

They be griefers. Not uncommon and not overly boring to do.
Best way to fight these things is to just dock-up. It ruins your game experience for a while, but it does the same to them. Usually these guys are in it for some easy kills and a bit of smack in local. Make it hard for them to get that (impossible, even) and they'll let the war-dec expire and move on to some other corp they see as easy-pickings.
If you have money, hire a merc-corp to go at them. Option C is to fit out some frigates and learn a thing or two about PVP. It can actually be alot of fun.

Edited by: Rashka Fireball on 26/12/2007 16:12:36 Keep the expensive stuff docked, get in some tech I frigs and maybe even destroyers (Check out the alpha on a Thrasher) and teach em that you can't be pushed around.
EDIT: Loot a couple Tech II wreaks and it'll probably pay for the entire operation.

Some tactical advice, note the names of those in the corp deccing you, and add them to your buddies list.
This way you can easily see which of them are online at any given time.

Quite often a wardec from a larger corp with actual pvp capability is enough to encourage the griefing corp to stay docked for the duration.
Generally you dont even have to camp them in.

8 rifters/punishers/tristans with max ammo and a warp scrambler on each. You can even use some cruisers if you're pretty sure you wont lose them. 4 griffins with ECMs, or blackbirds if you feel confident.
You're ready to kill anything smaller than a Carrier fool enought to come bully you alone. Remember to keep outside Smartbomb range though.
If they come in gang, just sit in station and take the satisfied smile of the one happy to keep a bunch of griefers bored.
You can also make some mutual defense agreement with other industrial corps : they help you this time and you help them if they are attacked in the future.
Use your imagination, the nasty and world-control-willing part preferably.

Had a good laugh with these guys pre war dec as they made a corp effort to come smack talk at us as much as possible for killing a rokh with mining lasers on, we'll get bored in a few days and plus, we're nub empire****s and ore thieves, how bad can we be?
oh and dont think we'll sit outside stations waiting for you to undock either, do come an pew pew with us some atleast :D will be fun, plus in t1 frigs its not like your gonna loose much isk, and non of our members care much about loosing isk so who cares (not like im gonna risk a valuable ship anyways i aint lost a single ship since joining my buddies in the royal harmonic orchestra of maximum GARRRBAGE and i dont intend to any time soon, but hey, maybe youll change that.

Edited by: DarkSoulDan on 26/12/2007 18:43:54 You can guarantee we will be fighting. In fact you can guarantee that i WILL hire the biggest merc corp you can imagine to wipe you out if necessary. Its a BS move trying to "war" new players into submission. So Best of luck to ya and see ya on the battlefield.

My members are much more honorable than that, they would never gank a miner. Even if you did have them. Doesnt matter though, .... this will all be over soon enough.

Rokh with 8x mining lasers and 4x mining upgrades = 75% of a T2 fitted Hulk's extraction rate with a fraction of the training. Plus it tanks empire rats effortlessly.
That said, jetcan mining in empire space is a sign of severe brain damage in and of itself.
