Not sure where else to post this -- any other suggestions are welcome.
I think of "blockade running" as carrying cargo through hostile space or into besieged stations where carrier jumping or a jump clone is either unavailable or not possible. Sometimes someone has to load up the truck and run the blockade.
I'm running a Viator in Empire space atm. Heavily stabed, cloaker II plus various ECM gadgetry and a 10MN MWD II.
Now that I have this wonderful ship, what are some useful techniques and tactics to get through the perennial bubble camp at TXW in Syndicate (for example) or other known hostile areas whilst bringing much needed food, medical supplies, and beer to the corp?
Any thoughts on tactics, planning, execution, do's don'ts, etc? Thanks in advance.

the cloak/mwd trick helps, but it's not a guarnteed out
pick a direction, hit mwd, hit cloak, align(or snake thru the mass then align and slow boat off) but good bubble cams you are still likely fubar'd add a suicide scout/alt in front and you are usually golden(I tend to forget the alt and 'misplace' viators)

This pretty much nails the subject on the head. A good bubble camp just isn't going to have a hard time catching a blockade runner, even with the 10 second MWD they're not that fast while cloaked. Blockade Runners haven't been a reliable way of moving goods in to 0.0 since Interdictors were launched. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Automated Influence Map |

Personally I think that dictor spheres should adhere to the same warp strength rules as everything else (say 3 points) and then the blockade runner with an extra WCS on it can do it's job.

You can pay the guys at the gate to let you through, its cheaper than your ship / cargo / mods and lets be honest its the only way you will...

blockade runners are good for lowsec, but less so now that heavy dictors are around. they are not very effective in getting through full-fledged bubble camps in 0.0
the only reliable way to get stuff in to 0.0 past camped systems is to use a jump-drive ship like a carrier or jump freighter.

Use the tools EvE gave you, your map is a good start showing ship/pod kills, average pilots in sys etc. also i like to sit at gates for a few min and watch ships come through whilst cloaked, to get a run down on the kind of traffic thats passing through etc and make a run from there.

Cooooooonvoy!
Or cannon fodder 'em to Hell. Gather up some groupies from a starter corp, employ them for a low, low fee, and send 'em to clog up your little problem's radar. By the time they notice your running by; your jump has already engaged.

It's all in the time of day, my friend. I've been able to run normal Iterons through the 6-CZ gate during the early mornings or right after downtime. It's all a luck thing. Check the map statistics for how many ships have been destroyed or how many poddings have taken place in the last 30 minutes and by how many people are online in the system. As for that, I can't help you much. Your best entry point is 6-CZ in my opinion.. I've been able to fly a covert ops in though MHC, but with anything else it's REALLY difficult to make a successful run.
It's all luck... If you're lucky enough to jump in at the right time, do it. Maybe wait at the entry gate cloaked until some other poor guy with a nice looking ship warps over and hits the gate, wait about 5-10 seconds and hit it right after, or use suicide alts. Thats really it. If you have some REALLY expensive stuff to transport I'd recommend a jump freighter. Good luck and fly safe out there!

Personally i just canceled my subscription on my hauler alt because heavy dictors have negated the entire transport ship class. But regardless of bubbles, lowsec vs heavy dictor is just as futile as a bubble except you don't have a chance to run away. ____________________________ One Thead to rule them all - Boot.ini pre-patch thread

The trick is to stay fast and agile. Fitting a BR for max cargo slows it down. Get to warp fast, and all that destructive power (and massice scrambling) never has a chance to get used. _______________________________
