Greetings developers,
In the beginning, POS deployment were massive operations and required many people.
Though, times have changed, and individuals can now run a small pos network on their own.
Please, consider making this a reality.
Members of a corporation should be able to operate a POS without corporate roles/links. Perhaps limit it to 5 small towers via a skill..

You mean a member of a corp being able to put up a POS that the corp has no access to and no control over only the player can access?
Its an intresting idea there are only few issues that I think need looking.
1) that happens if a corp is war dec and one of its members has a personal POS. Is it attackable and how can it be defended by one person?
2) how will if effect 0.0 and system ownership ?
3) If it was possible it would be easy to lock down the contence of a POS (ships etc) by having an alt with sole access positioned there permently. Easy was of protection a capital ship for being stolen.
4) acess rights, how will they be controlled for other players ?
Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congrated by carebears for the actions. |

POS would still be under corp banner, but member operation. Will require some coding.

I asked for small towers, so there is no issue as they cannot claim sovereignty.

Small POS don't build capitals and can easily be destroyed.

Mostly the same options as normal corporate POS.

The point is I want the developers to think about this request and see if they can make it a reality one day.
I don't intend on explaining the mechanics and finer details of this idea, that's up to the developers to develop if they agree that times have changed and small tower operation by individual members should be allowed.

You don't need a feature change.
You need to find a new corp.
This would be different if starbases could be deployed at random points in space, but they cannot, for good reason. Moons are in shortage, and moon materials even more so; politics in EVE are linked directly to the deployments of starbases, so it makes sense that they can only be deployed at a corporation level.
If you want to deploy a personal starbase, find a new corporation. I run starbases all by myself, it's not that hard to do alone-- though I am the CEO of my corp. However, I have had alts in corporations that allow their members to run their own starbases, under certain conditions. (Make sure it allows alliance access, et cetera-- really basic things. The rest is all personal responsibility and choice.)
It may not be the solution you were looking for, but it's the only one (at least for a very long time) that's going to be available. I don't see CCP opening up starbases in their current form to strictly individuals.
