Edit: On second thought, probably not a great idea to tell people how to do it, in case this is an exploit.

Sure... not many other ways to do that anyhow... but thanks for telling everyone

I think so. 1. Click toward your destination gate, station or POS to start alignment. 2. Click MWD. 3. Click Cloak. 4. After alignment, check speed to insure it's at least 75% and then uncloak and click warp.
Note: Hotkey as much as possible to F1, F2, F3 etc.

Why would it be?

Is webifying a freighter and having it warp faster an intended effect? Probably not, but it's not been classified an exploit either.

I think most gate campers especially the ones with HACtors would call it a PITA.

aa standard warp maneuver? Really everyone does that when in bigger ships. If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough

I have posted a thread about this game mechanic months ago. No reaction from CCP
therefore, it is a valid game feature. The real question is, is it a good game mechanic?
It is a powerful thing, but not 100% safe. Bubbles usually stop it. Having non-cov ops cloak on a big ship carries a big lock time penalty, since big ships have already slow lock times. Gate campers have about 6 seconds to decloak the ship, 3 seconds to lock and scramble. If they have inties, it can be done.
I think the whole mechanic of align-insta warp is a bit bad. Ships shouldn't insta warp just because they reached alignment velocity. But this isn't too bad.

old news.. as in like 2006 its not an exploit.. why would it be? non covert ships using prototypes get a pretty severe hit as it is, and for larger shiptypes, which i assume is what u have in mind, its rly just a variation of a uber nanoed ship, mainly cruisers. some nanoed bs'es might be able to use the tactic aswell, but given inertia and the massive speed penalty from the prototype, id consider that a risky move (tho' its been a while since i tested it). So it prolly mainly applies to cruisers, in which case i cant rly get all that excited since u could speed warp (including mwd speed warp) with those even without a cloak.

You're joking, right? None of these are operating outside the game mechanics; it's always been the case that you complete the last cycle of any activated module when you cloak, and that includes propulsion enhancements like MWD/AB. You still take the speed hit in a non-covops, it's just for the few seconds of your movement under cloak while the MWD is cycling you get the 5x speed to your cloaked speed-
So say you've got the T2 cloak, with the 75% speed reduction, on a non covops boat- For simplicity, say your top speed without cloak or MWD is 400 km/s. You turn, hit MWD and cloak- your speed spikes up briefly, then drops to (400 * .75) * 5 = 500, until the MWD finishes its cycle, then you drop to 100.
Of course the transitions aren't instantaneous; usually by the time your cloak goes up you haven't gotten anywhere near your top speed without MWD. If you did it right, you're on scan for less than half a second. If you can get to the edge of the bubble you're gone, but that's where the white knuckles come in- is that crow with its drones out going to decloak you? Can you slowboat around that orbiting ceptor without getting in range? Turn on your tactical and start navigating!
It's definitely not an exploit.
I sometimes slowboat through lowsec gatecamps for practice. It's fun.
