anyone else think Black Ops ships should be given a seperate cargo hold for their jump/cyno fuel. Between ammo, booster charges and fuel, there is no way it can all fit in there.

This would probably not be a bad suggestion for all ships that require jump fuel. Increase the fuel tank capacity without making them defacto haulers. |

This is a very good idea. It doesnt have to be immense - currently Sin, for example, has 600m3 cargo. This is enough to portal two recons and itself, no ammo, no cap 800s. If you were to give it a 500m3 cargo, and a 1000m3 fuel bay, it would still struggle with jump logistics, requiring people to use cans, but you'd be able to send 3-4 recons, and be able to fight at the other end!
1500m3 would be a blessing, but 800-1200 would be good enough. One of your two rotating signatures exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes - Devil ([email protected]) |

They definitely need a dedicated fuel bay: they're supposed to have enough cargo space to jump themselves and a small team of recons, do some recon + skirmishing, and then *jump back*.
Currently that isn't really feasible, and I doubt CCP wants to give them 1200m3 cargo bays.

in my opinion every ship should have separate hangars:
- ammo hangar - charges hangar - cargohold (items and such) - fuel hangar (for ships that need it)

Ya, the main thing here, is how many BOBS they want you to need for ever x recons present. I would say that a single BOBS should be able to portal in 5 recons minimum, in and out. So ya, a 5k fuel bay would be great, though I guess they will prolly make it more complicated, and introduce a "compressed" form of fuel that requires a Rorqual to make. Actually that's not a bad idea. -----------

I agree to that, and not only for black ops but everything that has a jump drive. As cool as jumping around is, sometimes you need to carry modules, loot, and mabye even some supplies around. When your cargo is full of fuel that becomes difficult and imo more frustrating than fuel needs to be. It would be nice to have a 'gas tank' that is designated for fuel to reduce some of this stress on all jumping ships.

AGREED and lower the fuel usage alittle. not alot but alittle. i don't see how a BS takes more fuel to jump than a dread. and not nearly as far. alittle boost all around would be nice.

I see where people are coming from and i think its a fairly good idea.
The only way it could be used is to fuel pos's. but if the bay isnt made insane it could actually be a good bonus..hell,

I was expecting to get flamed, I'm glad you guys like this idea. I think it would have good benefits all around if ships that have jump drives has a seperate fuel hanger. I also agree with a previous post that it is rediculous for a BS jumping half the distance of a dread takes as much fuel as it does. please CCP, Black Ops were introduced pre-nerfed, now lets bring them into balance.
