Ok i know getting away from concord after you kill someone in empire is a exploit and bannable so don't point that out 1000 times in this thread...
Unfortuneatly alot of people don't know this (newbies , ppl who don't read the forum) And it won't get petitioned.
So i was wondering if concord scrambles jumpdrives , they don't. At least not till they warp scramble you.
Tested this on sisi:
-Get a gank fitted panther, almost the same dps as a tempest with 5 heavy drones and 5x 800mm II's
-Find something to shoot at in empire space
-Due to the high dps most barges or cruisers will melt before concord gets at the scene.
-Jump out to lowsec <<<exploit
since you don't get the agression timer like you would trying to jump out a stargate its very easy to escape.
Ok maybe thats a bit unrealistic with using a 600mil bs to empire gank but its still possible. So maybe ccp should make concord scramble jumpdrives like they scramble cloaks. ----------

You need to examine Minmatar ships bro.
No kidding, I tried to Salvage one last night. Took me 20 cycles before the pilot convoed me and told me to stop it.

This is interesting and my inclination is that this wouldn't be an intended feature. Posting here can be useful, but filing a petition or bug report is probably the best way to get a GM attention. They will at least tell you if this is working as intended or not. I'd be very interested in knowing the result.

Well in the end you are using an extremely expensive ship for something that could be done with a cheaper ship (that would get lost in the process, granted).
A bit of bad timing or lag on your part and its byebye Mr. Black ops, so risk vs reward seems to be reasonable, doesnt feel like exploiting to me tbh.

It isn't an exploit yet, because they would like word for this to get out so that the pirating community will add to the purchasing of Black Ops vessels. Once the buying is good for a while, and many people complain about gankage, they will make it an exploit.

Hi
This is indeed an exploit and those using it will be treated accordingly from here on. We can easily track this in our logs and we will take the appropriate action against players using this illegal tactic.

Please can you explain what the following means?:
A knowledgebase article on Concord Aggression timer countdown
If you commit an act of aggression and trigger the wrath of CONCORD then you had better run if you donŠt want to risk losing your ship. Whether the aggression was intended or not, when CONCORD arrive on the scene they will exercise their well known tactic of shooting first... and eating space donuts later.
---------------------------------------------
Which are we to believe? If it's an exploit, please get it started CLEARLY in the knowledgebase, since I don't want to get a warning or ban for missing a rule in a forum thread that may not interest me.
Thank you.

You can still blow up concord ships, it's just that exponentially more arrive as a result now. Back when people did that in 2003 devs themselves decended from the heavens to personally ensure they lost their ships for it, then Concord was buffed more so they didn't need to. Obviously in 2003 the playerbase was small enough that Devs could respond in person, now it has to be made an exploit until it can be fixed.
People's ships have been getting better and better over time, it's only when they start out-witting concord that devs finally see a need to beef up concord again.

Edited by: Angor on 07/01/2008 15:27:54 concord are cheating macro scum! people evading/blowing them up are my hero
One thing i dont get about concord is how come, with my sec status, sometimes i can go through empire in a thrasher or interceptor fitted for warping fast with no problem but sometimes in a cov ops concord blow me up before I can go to warp. *shakes fist* _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |
