Several times they have buffed the clones .. umm I'd probably go as far to say ' whenever they have added a new clone then the lower clones cover more SP' - but not 100% sure on that ...

Actually, 3Z3VH's idea is interesting. I'm always up for another skill or two. They would fit nicely in the Learning category.
Might be something like:
Quantum Morphology - Adds 10% per level to the points protected by your clone. Rank: 3, prerequisite: Science level 5, attributes: Memory, Intelligence.
Advanced Quantum Morphology - Adds an additional 10% per level to the points protected by your clone. Rank: 5, prerequisite: Quantum Morphology level 5, attributes: Memory, Intelligence.

They might need to start implementing clones with two heads or oversized single heads to contain all those skills
But seriously, that has got to be a scary situation to be in when the highest clone level does not cover your current skills.

Tis a good point, but its easy to wag your epeen when no one in game knows who you are in real life so it just slips from time to time. That and Eve has totally become a game to me where SP are the only thing of real value anymore. I mean come on have you seen the inflation of the market.

Why are multiple people to whom the new clones would not even apply complaining about possible new clone costs, while Dr Caymus is like, "whatever, give me a half billion isk clone, just give me a clone." Seriously people, stick to opinions on matters that concern you.

Read the 2007 report on skill levels in game as it states from ccp's data that caymus is the highest level SP in the game http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/pdf/QEN_2007Q3.pdf

Originally by: digitalwanderer Not to mention that there isn't enough skills in game for a pure PvP char to even hit that high, even if he trains multiple races.....That's what i've been doing for the most part, and i can't see myself having enough skills left to even get to the 100 million sp mark as it is,as a good chunk of them aren't worth taking to level 5 for a measly 2% increase.
I don't think you're into the spirit of the SP race, are you? Who cares about the bonuses?

or upgradable clones, where every million SPs held cost progressively more, and you can select what size/cost you want it to be.
that way there is no limit, and you can spunk a billion on a single clone if you want, or you can spend a few quid on a basic one. [IMAGE REMOVED] |

They'll probably add new grades but they can only be installed in med facilities in jovian stations. Then a few months later they'll seed jovian station module BPO's.

ooh or a x5 skill that reduces the sp value of lower-end skills. It would require some ridiculous science and learning skill level and would reduce the SP value of all of your x1 skills by a percentage per level. Then it could have a level four branch for cover x2 skills. Like 5% per level for x1 and 2% per level of x2.

That should cover it. Especially since Clone Grade Omega will cover most of what a Dev Account (with Polaris and Omnipotent as well as everything else at V) has (455 million, IIRC).

The recent Dev blog answers this clone issue. Refering to the OP I mean, not what I quoted above.
I would really like to see something like the skill above as well. I would really like to see training times in general reduced. There's just so many skills. And even if you could get 4mil sp per month with there being over 300mil in possible current skills there's no threat of anyone maxing out all the skills anytime soon. Especially when more new ones keep comming out with each expansion.

Oh yes - now who out there would be Dan Dare?
It would have to be a Dev... Mindstar could be Hank*, Oveur could be Digby, Eris would obviously be Professor Peabody (though I don't recall Professor Peabody having quite that affiliation with being close to the loot)...
Dan though is a different matter...
*because he looks the part rather than because of nationality --

Probably somewhere around 15 years for the good Doctor. (assuming he's at 100mil SP, and thus needs 350mil more to max it out, and that he can continuously train Int/Mem or Mem/x skills the entire time) ---

Clone grade Tau will be more than enough for me for the next 2 years, give or take a month,as i don't have enough skills left over to train to even hit 120 million skill points,as i'm not interested in training every skill in the game, and even those i do train up,many aren't worth the time to get to lvl 5 for an extra 2% boost(all gunnery and missile specialisations for instance)
Currently,i'm about a month away from hitting the 80 million skill point mark.
