For about 6 months now I have been getting almost daily advertisements from isk sellers to my eve inbox. This is at least to say annoying.
In the last couple weeks I have started recieving multiple spam messages per day.
Now I am getting more spam in my eve mail than in my e-mail. Isk sellers have now taken to advertising in applications to corporations, effectively spamming every member who has the personnel manager role.
Seriously, something needs done about this. Petitioning the spammers is like trying to apply a band-aid to a amputee's wound.
Fix the trial account system ffs!
Make trial accounts sign up for 3 months for X amount of money. Let them opt out of the subscription in the first month, refund the money of those who opt out. This will give potential *paying* customers a real chance to experience the game at no cost for the first month (as long as they opt out). This method should help retain newer players and turns the accounts of those who fail to opt out into paying customers.
This will also require that isk selling spammers pay up front to advertise and thus stand to lose something if the account is closed due to EULA violation, they've given CCP a credit card # and name and address.
Do not allow the use of time codes on accounts under 3 months old. Most pilots of this age that are truly playing the game wont be able to afford time codes with isk anyways.
Let corporations choose to be "invite only". Give corporations the option of not accepting applications. This will close the application advertisement problem for those who choose to do so.
Remember, it's PEOPLE who break the EULA, not the character. Punish the person (all his/her accounts) not just close the trial account.
Yes I am sure there are plenty of holes in my suggestions here. But *something* needs to be done about the abuse of the trial account system.

This is really easy to stop. Set the fee to send you evemail above 5000 isk really. 5000 isk is the ammount of starting money for any new character. You can if you prefer up the price as much as you want, but then running the risk of less and less people contacting you for other matters. 10000 isk might be a nice and flat fee.

TO a trial account, yes. FROM a trial account, no. You can't transfer money FROM a trial account, iirc. ----- CEO, Astrum Contract Services Group

Yes the CSPA charge protects the individual. But...
There is a problem. You cannot stop someone spamming the entire corporation's directors and personnel managers.
Simply apply to a corp and insert your application text. This text is on the eve mail that gets sent to the corporation's members with appropriate roles.
This is effectively a mailing list for each important person in a corporation. This is being abused by isk sellers to advertise. There is no way for a corporation to turn this off.
Perhaps give corporations the "application fee" option?

CCP needs to set the default CSPA charge to 5001 isk or more. also automatically put your corp and alliance on the free from CSPA charge list.
one more important thing is a button on the mail interface that says report isk spammer so they can instantly click and CCP gets a record of what characters have transfered isk to that spammer and start fricking instaban all the *******.
