Edited by: Xanos Blackpaw on 07/01/2008 17:43:26 ok i got my assets spread out over over 100 stations(most with just an shuttle in) cant we get a way to search for general stuff? right now i need ot remeber what i own to find something(just found out that i owned two arbitrators i hade totaly forgot about a few months ago). so why cant we go general searches. like if i search for 'ships'i get a list with all my ships and the stations they are on.(might need to be able to fliter out what you dont want it to find or you will get 2 milion shuttles...)

I suspect EVE won't support such a service, but there's a few API implementations which include searching through assets...

Why not trash all those shuttles and clear your assets?

All I wish is a way to view whats in your station containers in another station. I like to keep my junk organized but say I'm looking for an invuln field 2 and I'm pretty sure I've got one at another station I don't want to fly all the way over just to find out I've put it on a ship at some point in time.

This is why I always sell the shuttle after I'm done with it. Even if I take a (relatively) huge loss to get rid of it.
If I can reprocess and sell I'll do that if the buy price is crap and the station can reprocess. -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes

here's a handy tip to do this.
- Open your assets tab and find the station with your container.
- Right click it and create contract.
- Set the contract to an alt or something, it doesn't matter. Click 'next' until you reach the last page.
- On the last page it'll say "this container is not empty" and it'll list the contents of said container in a not-terribly-easy-to-read block of text
- Once you've seen what you want, hit 'back' and cancel the contract.
You're welcome. :) -- 99% of Eve-o posters should stop posting. This probably includes me, but definitely includes you. |

Bellatroix's Asset Viewer

it seems that the API dump for assets returns the contents of containers. It's a bit of work to translate the location and item ids into a human readable format, but if you are willing to trust Bellatroix, his app will do that for you (and then do charting of your assets, I recommend the 'Summarize by Type' limit to 'Ship', chart.

I'm pretty sure you can just right click on the item and choose "trash it" without needing to be in the station, admittedly you get no money but shuttles are only like 9k anyway.

simple solution go to the search tab at the end of the tabs there you can put in the item you wish to find and even the minimum amount of that items (i.e. you need exactly 10000 ore and dont wnt to station hop between assest soo well i hope i dont have to tell you what to do next)

most part of the interface need improvement.
For asset window we need a table with (all columns must be movable, sortable and filtering, and window MUST remember what we choose even after we closed it) : - number of jumps - number of items - region, solar system, and all - time since that item is in this asset The best should be a way to mark the asset in a way to tag that it's nothing important, or very important item in it (like a color and that can be filtered).

I'd like to be able to open ship fittings remotely. Not necessarily be able to change anything, just to see what I have fitted on a ship elsewhere.

Same trick works for seeing what is fitted on a ship, as it will list all the modules and rigs ---

you can also rt click on those containers and repackage them remotely. then everything dumps into your main hanger
rt click on the useless stuff and trash it When in doubt, reload and fire another clip. |
