So, I am here today to tell you the sad story which has made me think that maybe these blockade runners have some sort of bug with the dropping chance of loots... So we, me and my buddy, decided to go and do some gatecamping (AKA Gstenkampfen) so there we are waiting for some delicious haulers to come and drop their loots for us.
Well we see a Prorator coming and are like: "Dude, we can catch it! Go for it!"
Without more details there we were, Prorator popped and all. Check the loots:
"Ooh moon minerals and Exp. Cargohold II, post mail" "Posting... HOLY ****!?!?!?!?!?!?" "What??!?" "This post... it's..." "DON'T SAY! I WANNA SEE THIS... ...HOLY MOTHER******* ****! 24 BILLION??!?!?!?" "And we got some ******* moon minerals, ffs!"
So there was no problem until here, right? Well here comes the second blockade runner... Prowler this time
"Can we catch it?" "Maybe, let's try!"
So we got it... slaughtered one says to local: "You boys just got nice loot :)" We were like oh my god, loots!
"Wtf? Only one salvager? post mail." "Holy ****!" "No... NOT AGAIN!" "OH FFS!"
So in the end we sat there, watching two killmails with over 26 billion total destroyed amount... In the first mail the blueprints were originals... on the second one they weren't but still there was lots of em...
So, heres the first killmail
and here is the second one
So, in the end, all I wanted to say was that I think there's something seriously wrong with Blockade Runners, that have Giant Cargo Containers that are full of items. Because in our case, there was, and we got seriously nothing. Is this a feature? Is this going to be the way every carebear hauler is going to grief us who are respected pirates?
We just blew up 26 billion worth of stuff. Seriously... IS THIS A FEATURE?!?!?
PS: If we would've gotten loots, I would be right now, buying pineapples :( PSS: But I won't because this thing fails. PSSS: Discuss <3

How did you guyes manage to catch that minnie transport? I should be able to warp faster than you getting a lock?
About the loot, bad luck i guess? The worst pvp'er in EVE :

I said the same, "we wont catch it" because there has been so far 3 Prowlers before that which I havent got a lock on so I almost gave up on that one too.
But somehow we got it.

If you checked the killmail, it didn't have rigs, propably the main reason.

He was pretty slow IMO. My Prorator uses 2x inertia 2x nano and is still tad slower than i hoped (should use 2x inertia 2x poly).

Ya only explanation must be that the transport pilot wasn't paying attention. The worst pvp'er in EVE :

Didn't you know? Everytime you pop someone, all the valuable stuff gets blown up. It's only when you get blown up that the expensive stuff survives.

TBH flying this kind of cargo thru lowsec without a scout must mean a serious lack of attention on the pilots parts...

Judging by the amount of blueprints in that KM, they're probably bpc's, regardless, coulda earned you around 100m for the parts, and 250m for the bpc. Tough luck m8.

They don't have an inertia penalty, just velocity.

I did not take a closer look at the killmail but I bet he had all the valuable stuff in a can... if the can goes BOOM so do the stuff inside

Sorry to hear that Mematar, I've told you you should be ransoming ships rather than pods
As for the blockade Runners, I have a prowler w/rigs and implants that is invincible to 99% of camps. But I won't even risk it when Mematar is camping. After watching him catch frigs&pods I figure I've got a 50/50 chance to get by him even w/lag figured in.
That Phobos of his is really evil.

Can you not see the contents of cargo containers on a ship scan? I thought you could...
With this in mind surely it would've made more sense to ransom the contents rather than fire first, ask questions later?

Three things: 1. Are you guys saying one can store stuff inside a secure container inside the cargo bay of said ship? 2. If the secure would survive, you couldn't open it anyway. 3. One can cargo scan the inside of containers in a cargo bay?
If so, then this is all new to me...please shed some light.

Pretty sure when you put stuff inside a container, either the container pops or it doesn't, so either you get all the stuff inside or none.
