Trusted 3rd Party/Collateral holding/Auditing service. My rates:
- Collateral/Trusted 3rd Party Service: Whichever is the greater of 100mil or 0.5% of the isk value of the collateral/brokered isk.
- Audits: 50 million isk +10 million isk per additional account I have to investigate as part of the audit.
Services:
- Trusted 3rd Party Brokering for purchases
- Collateral holding for bonds, loans or IPO's
- BPO's can be researched for you while held as collateral
- Audits for MD Bonds also available.
Contact me via eve-mail to arrange services.
Background: There are many occasions in EVE where someone needs to transfer isk between two parties who do not necessarily trust one another. There are also situations where folks will occasionally want collateral for a loan or debt but the person receiving the loan doesn't want to just hand the collateral to the person giving them the loan.
In these situations is where a trusted 3rd party comes in handy. The trusted 3rd party is a person who both parties agree to trust. The collateral or isk is placed with the 3rd party in 'escrow' and is held until satisfactory completion of the deal by both parties. If the deal is 'broken' in some way the trusted 3rd party will release the collateral/isk to the injured party as part of the agreement.
The service I am offering is simple. For any transaction requiring a 3rd party I am willing to broker the deal. The terms are simple:
- I will hold the money/items in escrow until such time as both parties agree that the deal is satisfactory, at which time the isk will be paid to the appropriate party (depending on type of deal).
- In cases of breach the isk/items will, likewise, be paid/transfered/liquidated in the appropriate manner.
Example:
- I will document the transaction on a shared google doc spreadsheet that both parties will have access to.
- I will hold that isk until the buyer indicates he has the ship he purchased and it is safely out of the system where he purchased it.
- I will be told when and where the transaction is to take place so that I can move an alt there to observe it.
- Once I have observed the transaction take place and the purchased ship safely jump away I will transfer the isk (less my fee) to the seller.
- Transaction is complete.
If the seller attempts to reneg on the deal once isk is held the isk will be returned to the buyer, less my fee and I will also out them, their corp and their alliance on the crime and punishment and eve-general forums as scammers and organizations that support scammers. A similar process will be available for collateral situations.
For folks wanting an audit I will need the full API key of each of your accounts. I will guarantee that no information about you will be revealed to any other player in EVE unless you breach the terms of the IPO/BOND/LOAN you are being audited for. If you do breach the agreement of your IPO/BOND all information that I obtain during the audit will be publicly posted on the MD thread for your bond.

Why should we trust you/Who are you? As I mentioned above I've got some pretty extensive background in the Market Discussion forum. Beyond that I am:
- An alliance leader. Running off with your money wouldn't exactly sit well with my alliance. In fact one of our rules is 'no scamming' (and I wrote it and enforce it)
- I am the CEO of a corporation that's been around for 3 years now. Granted the start of it was just an alt corp but now I have over 100 pilots that rely on me to lead a quality corporation. I would never do anything to hurt them.
- My personal ethics were drilled into me from a young age by my father. His most memorable words to me were: "You are only as good as your word". I feel that's true both in real life and here in EVE. In a world where nobody trusts anyone your word, your good name, is more important than all the isk you could ever obtain.
- I'm not exactly a poor pilot myself. Between liquid isk and personal assets I'm personally sitting on over 20 or 30 billion isk of my own. I really have no reason, or need, to run off with someone else's isk.
- Taram has been my main since 2005. Before then I only played EVE on trial accounts after the beta ended (in which I was also named Taram). My trial account characters were all named Taram as well (feel free to do an eve search. Every Taram that predates Taram Caldar is actually one of my trial accounts that I popped in on. Honestly I still kick myself for not just re-activating the original "Taram" when I finally bought the game in 2005 but that's water under the bridge now.... ahh well.
Auditing Service information: For anyone looking to get a loan on MD, about to launch an IPO or Bond I do offer a auditing service. What this means is that I will work with you and get your full api for your accounts (yes accounts, all of them) and review your financial information and character histories to give a feel to investors of whether you are:
- Solvent in your own right
- Asking for an ammount of isk you can realistically support
- Have no scamming or other nefarious background as far as I'm able to determine
- Are, as far as I'm able to determine, a fairly trustworthy person.
I will not, as long as you do not fail your bond/ipo/loan:
- Reveal your character names other than the one you are obtaining the loan for.
- Reveal your corp or alliance affiliations
- Reveal anything about your trade/market activity other than whether you appear to be skilled enough to do whatever it is your ipo/loan/bond is for
