Found this site http://www.streammygame.com/smg/index.php who claims to be able to stram/run games off an older computer so you can play it on your PS3. EVE Online is one of the supported games. So maybe you can play on your PS3!
Anyone tried it? (Dont have a PS3 so I have no further insight)

Sell your console, use the cash to upgrade your computer. This applies to any console related questions you or anyone else may have in the future as well, and not just Eve-related. ---

I might agree with you, there. After trying to get a Wii for the last month unsuccessfully, I'm really close to just buying a new video card with the money I saved for it.

This topic was posted... yesterday. Granted, the official search function is FUBAR^¦, but there's always Google.
Basically, all this does is wirelessly stream audio and video from your computer (your PC's CPU and GPU would still be running EVE) to your PS3, which then displays it on your television screen. You still have to use a mouse and keyboard connected to your computer, too (can be wireless, of course).
It's a semi-creative way to plug your computer into your TV if you have a PS3, and frankly there are lots of other ways.

Like plugging a TV directly into your PC. I dunno the make but I have a 32" one that can do it, once I get an HDMI video card or somesuch. ----

At least the program is free so people can try it and see if it works. That way we dont have to sit here speculating about what it does and how bad it is..

This was posted yesterday with a few more replies to it.
As already said above, all it does it stream the audio/video through the PS3 to your TV.
As if you would hook your pc to the tv, except with the possibility of doing it wireless (from your pc to the ps3 which is already by the tv)
You could also install Yellow Dog linux on your PS3 (officially supported by Sony) and use it as a PC though the "nber GPU" cannot be used by anything other than the PS3 itself due to a builtin lock. But you can use the normal GPU for basic things. PS3 is a cheap PC (thats the whole idea from Sony, trying to cut into the PC market as the PS3 is damn cheap for what you get in return. Sony are charging less than the components actually cost, especially the cell processor and blueray drive are expensive)

All it looks like their doing is charging you to install a customised SSH/vnc environment, and using X11 forwarding to send the grahics/audio to your ps3 and the keystrokes from it.
You can save a few dollars and do it yourself by installing linux on an old box (make sure it has enough grunt for eve). Hell if I had a ps3 and wanted to play eve on it it's what I'd do.
I guess where the service shines is if your a non technical user who doesn't want to mess around with configuring servers yourself. If your not lazy though you open up more options, I imagine it would be possible to play eve via PDA's smartphones etc if you can get an SSH tunnel working from them...
