I would like some suggestions on direction I should go with 3 of my accounts.
My main was first skilled as a miner (Hulk, some refining skills) then started into combat (lvl 4 missions, Covert-ops). My Alt char #2 (lets call him alt2) was to give my main a hauler and good gang boosters (Foreman 5, Mining Dir 5). Now after joining a player corp with an alliance and a new joy for PvP, I thought it necessary to start a pure PvP char. (alt3).
Current goal is to continue my main with mining, boosting all his refining/productions. For Alt2 aim for something big as a carrier or rorqual. And, since my new (alt3) is still a noob, it'll take a while before I can take him out pvping.
Anyone have any tips?

3 Characters is a ot of time to spend on EVE, having 2 my self I find that quite often I use only one character for several weeks before I get sick of the play style and switch again.
I would advise to fist of all stick to your plan, and to not compromise on training skills. Being a alt and thus having less playing time means less frustration about skill training times. 24d 12h and... so what you will most likely only play for a few hours a week with this char let them train the skill to level 5. It makes for more fun when you do play with the char and realize they are far better then 90% of the others in game.
The only other thing to remember is to get and keep at lest the first two characters turning a profit. This way your nooblet can loose some ships and get skillbooks without having to worry about the ISK involved.
Useless signing out.

work with their attributes
as for alt 2, i would imagine you gave him somewhat high charisma (well compared to say the caldari achura with 3, so a 7/8 or something) i would work on getting him into a command ship, or carrier/rorqual. (at least put him in a battle cruiser running the gang links for mining support for now)

That's what I'm doing with Alt2 atm, toping off neglected learning skills, then I would really like to have a carrier or jump freighter, so I can bring minerals to empire when I want.
The only thing about this plan is waiting for the noob char to train up for PvP, when my main is more than half way there.

I only have 2 alts one a miner /ind the other a pvp. my main is closer to a decent pvp toon than my alt, but i use the alt as it means my main can still enter high sec to sell the stuff he makes

Three accounts could be considered useful only if you want a capital alt. . .otherwise, money maker and fighter is the way to go.
Ultimatly, gang bonus' are good to have on your PvP 'main' - rarely does anyone have the strength to handle two accounts in real fights.

Upon giving this further thought and discussing with a corpmate, I'm better off training Alt2 towards support skills for the carrier rather than straight to carrier.
The drone skills alone will probably take 2 months, as carriers need good fighters and drone interfacing 5. Along with many other support skills needed to effectively pilot one.
My main just finished covert ops lvl 2 and once he has the skills needed to fit the appropriate modules, he's off to top off some core skills relevent to PvP as my noob char will take a few months before he can pew pew!.
