This probably isnt the right place to ask this but I couldnt think of anywhere better.
Has there been any announcement on how dust will affect PI planets yet? Like If the planet you are producing on has a conflict occuring will you still be able to make stuff and move it to space or will there be an embargo? or even a reduction in the productivity of your factories? Or will it only affect your stuff once one side has won? And is there a scheduled launch date for it even?
Any info out there yet?

I imagine it's gonna be a while before there's any impact on Eve. DUST still has to go thru Beta Testing. |

And, to the OP, little to nothing is known about exactly how DUST will interact with Eve. So chill out and be patient like everyone else is. |

A better place for your query might have been the science & industry board. This board isn't the place to discuss DUST 514 so I won't go into it much here. 1) Regarding how Dust 514 will affect PI production in EVE Online there is little information as of yet on that subject.New information is released regularly atm though. :) I can say that only temperate and barren planets will feature in Dust 514. The lava, gas, plasma, & storm planets are considered too hazardous for habitation/colonisation. Having said that the barren class of planet is,I think, the most used class of planet for PI production/factory planets so there is potential for much conflict there. 2) The beta hasn't started up yet. The registration process is still ongoing as we speak. The pace is quickening though. 3) Dust 514 is supposed to be released in the summer of this year. So you haven't got that long to wait.
The best source for information on DUST 514 and how it will affect Eve Online is still http://dust514base.blogspot.com/ in my humble opinion. It is run by pilots from EVE and they have our best interests at heart. The first issue of their podcast, 'Cast 514', is due out today and will feature the latest news from CCP! |

Very little tangible data is available on Dust 514, except of course, usual marketing babble. I am thus skeptical CCP did a good job on it, but lets wait and see. |

If your factory is a smoking crater I'm sure that might hamper production...
Other thought... Really only barren and temperate? there goes my fantasies of submarine combat... |

Im getting the vibe that dust will have minimal impact on EVE ... Smells like all those good ideas of big integration and effect on EVE happening is getting downgraded with every announcement.
Shame really ... It would have been great if it had been made for PC where the customers for such a game would have been. PS3 as platform is going to end up in very few players. Majority of the ps3 crowd dont want something where you need to think about something .. its MW3 style highspeed deathmatch they want.
Like I said .... shame. |
