Been playing with this ship, and heres what i came up with for solo/small gang combat:
7x HML II/w CN missiles
10MN MWD II, X5 Web, Faint warp prohibitor, 2x LSe II, Invuln II
2x BCU II, DCU II, RCU II
EM/Therm/kin resist rigs ( cheap )
5x Hobgoblin II
400+DPS, 70,000+ effective HP.
Basically, i think it ticks all the boxes.
MWD - Check
Tackle - Check
Decent Buffer Tank - Check
Decent DPS - ( 400 that never misses at 80 KM ) Check
Is there anything majorly wrong with it, or is it a case of being good for a Drake, but still **** compared to another BattleCruiser?
Criticism welcome.

Wait till someone uses EM damage on you and you will melt in under a minute.

65% EM resist.
Worst case scenario is pulse lasers with scorch.
I won't lose too much sleep worrying about that.

Though it must be tested in action. I ve got only two comments: sig even without mwd, is big....and why not PDU t2, instead RCU t2? Gives more shield, recharge rate etc....and with my skills fit is (cpu/pg wise)ok.
Oh and to answer on Kanagawa question, it goes 2600 m/s....

WTB: MWD with a x10 speed multiplier. 2600m/s?? More like 1km/s...

Duly noted, RCU switched out to PDS - DOH -.
As for the sig, yeah its huge. But active tanking drakes is hellishly hard cos of the fitting restraints and so big sig is the price you have to pay for a buffer shield tank.
Suppose i could get a halo set..........

worst case scenario is more than one ship hitting you with EM, tbqfh.

If you're considering a Halo set, replace those resist rigs with extender rigs; you'll get a much better overall buffer tank. Yeah, they cost more, but less than a Halo set. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

This is a really nice setup imo. One option is to swap out the DCU II for a 'pseudoelectron containment field I' which only lowers your resists by a small amount but frees up 11 cpu so you can fit a T2 warp disruptor for the extra range.
