I'm completely new to level 4 missions, and I've just picked up a Worlds Collide.
So I get to the deadspace site, and there's 2 gates, one to the Serpentis base and one to the Guristas base. I head for the Guristas gate and it says it's locked and I need "The Zbiloki's Hacker Card".
Now I've done this mission quite a while back as a level 1 or two and I'm sure the gates weren't locked. For these missions I'm using Battleships which aren't rigged for speed, but to get into the next stage of this do I really have to go trailing the 140km over to the other gate and kill off the Serpentis guys before I can get what I need, or is it elsewhere?

Just shoot anything at the rat, the whole group will come to you.

Having eventually found a mission guides link that actually works, I've discovered that the Zbikoki's Hacker Card in question is only dropped on different level 4 missions, namely Damsel In Distress and Right Hand of Zazzmatazz.
What's the point of giving you a mission you can't complete because you've never done the mission that drops the thing you NEED to complete the one you've just been given?
Now I've had to quit the mission and lose standings because of this. I are not a happy bunny.

The gates will unlock when you kill the rats - the key just helps you blitz past the first room.

So you have to kill all the rats of both sides I take it? I didn't see that in the article I read, although I admit I was skimming it slightly.

You only need to kill the rats guarding the gate you want to unlock.

No. Kill all Serpentis to unlock Serpentis gate, and so on..

Yep..as the other posters said..it's a choice. You kill the Serpentis OR the Guristas and when the last rat out of your chosen group dies, their gate unlocks.

Or you kill both, clean both rooms, prey for a overseer, then leave and wait for dt to reset the mission!
At least i hope it works this way :P

You can get Zblioki's Hacker Card from Zor in L4 Damsel in Distress.
Would probably help you blitz the mission if you wanted

this card unlock any gate u want in every mission i think. But you dont have to use it :) Better save all of them and kill the rats. Use the card when you really must.
Me thinks that there should be a bpo for this card :P Along with hacking on lvl5 one could be able to manufacture one :) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥-☻VENA☺-♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ |

There are no missions that require something from another mission to complete them.
Exception: in sequential missions, where you deliver an item you found in the last one, but even then you hand the item in at the end of a mission and it gets returned for you to deliver it in the next.
There are, however, some items foound in missions that unlock shortcuts or Bonus rooms. This is one of those cases. The card allows you to shortcut through the first room.
If you don't have the card, as previous posters have pointed out, you just have to kill the rats guarding one (or, if you want, both) of the gates.
This isn't an uncommon scenario in many missions, you rock up to a gate and it's locked. You go kill all the rats guarding it and it becomes unlocked, you go to the next room and find a locked gate, kill the rats move on.

Incorrect. See the problem is I made the original posting after I'd already killed all the rats on the Guristas gate, but that gate was still locked. Sorry I didn't originaly state that.
Does it mess it up if you kill the NPC structure they're gathered around? Because I did that as well, before trying to go back to their gate and getting the locked message.

Possibly? Or rat went off grid.. or something that's bugged. You could have petitioned for a reset, or tried another gate.

Seems like something went buggy - If something like this happens again, you could wait for downtime and try again.....you miss out on the time bonus, but you'll more than make up for that with additional bounties.
If the gate still won't unlock then either 1) you've missed a rat somehow or 2) there's a bug and you need to petition it.

If you're casual like me, keeping this mission for a week and clear it daily seems well worth it. I get new overseer's every day. Not had one with more than 600k bounty or loot yet tough :(
Bounties make it well worth tough :)

Yup. WC4 is one of the better L4 missions. Pop the Guristas, work your way back around, pop the serps then go and hope for an Overseer. Personally I hate the Admirals though. Sometimes they get it into their heads to run away from me. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)
