First: You will want to have your Corp Ticker showing before this thread gets locked.
(That will be 150k ISK)

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 01/02/2008 05:06:10 Next, rename it Heaven's Wrath to avoid becoming another misspelled corp name statistic.
edit: Tax rate can be changed in the "edit corp details" window. I'm not sure about shares, SPEND is a one-man operation.

This. Heavon's Wrath makes you look illiterate. If you can't find the name you like never use a misspelled alternative because no one will want to join your corp. There are hundreds of corps in EVE to choose from so why would anyone join a corp with an apparently inarticulate CEO? So a name change is needed I'm afraid.

Call it G00nSw4rm and watch the nubs roll in. Then, when they least expect it raise the taxes to 100% and pop them the first opportunity you get.
Result = PROFIT.

Calm down.
First, you can set tax anywhere between 0% and 100% for your corporation using the corporation tab. Note that only CEO's or directors can do this and tax is only applied to agent mission rewards and NPC bounties at this time.
Shares : As a CEO make sure that you hold the majority of the corps available shares or you could get booted from your own corp if a director chooses to take the initial stockpile of shares for himself.
You should also be aware that shareholders get the right to vote on certain corp aspects such as wars & BPO unlocks. So if you want to remain secure and generally have peace of mind, just hold a meeting with your directors verbally and then action the votes yourself (as the primary shareholder) based upon the outcome of the meeting.
Hope some of that helps. |

And thanks for the advice.

Even with the danger of being even slightly helpful (this is CAOD, after all), I might try to answer a few questions.
Corp tax, changed on the corp details window, right off the first page of the corporation screen. Affects bounties and mission rewards (but NOT mission bonuses) above a certain limit. It doesn't affect trades / sales, so it will be of no effect unless your corp member rat and/or do missions. (And actually, most level one missions are not taxed, either.)
Shares: Depending on your mode of running the corp, you might want to keep a majority for the CEO, so that others can't perform a coup. If you never give out dividends to shareholders, feel free to have all shares for the CEO character. Shares affect some votes (like creating more shares and wardecs etc.), as well as being a method for paying dividends (the other method is paying all corp members).
You might want to see the Player Guide.
Advanced topics include the likes of managing the tax level to fit your corp goals (industrial/PvP/ratter, what you provide from the corp funds to the players). Some corps are communist, as in the players get everything from the corp, give everything from the corp. Some corps have very low tax. Whatever is your choise, your corp won't sink or swim based on the tax - but by the activity.

You start a vote to create more, then vote, wait 24 hours and implement the vote thus creating extra shares.
