I love the Dev Filter on Eve Search that lets me see all the latest dev posts. But since these days a lot of the Forum Mods are Devs, and so the only posts you see are of the Forum Mod Devs closing threads or giving warnings.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
I heart you Cribba. It's okay with me either way.

Yeah I'm annoyed by this aswell. The dev tracker was greatest thing ever. I don't really want to see the posts that are about moderation appear there.
If you type the divine name try to spell it correctly as it's Chribba.

Edited by: Chribba on 06/02/2008 21:05:51 Master! You called?
I'll take a look at EVE-Search asap and see what I can do to filter out the mods into their own category.

Perhaps separate the peons by their name... hard to discover moderation post from regular post... tho presence of *click*, *locked* or similar would be quite good hint. Too bad they like to create new ones so often.

Out amazing Web Cell just added nifty features for us like: Not having your post included in the Dev Finder / Not having your post blue-bar the thread. You'll see both of those apply to this post of mine. It's just a new trick and we're all old dogs, bear with us a bit.

Cool! I was already speculation why this thread had you as last poster and yet no bar displaying when browsing the general discussion.
I definately hope the moderators will be using this then. Yet I hope the devs continue to use the almighty bar on most cases. Maybe Chribba needs to do some sort "undercover dev" tracker now to find all those posts that you might want to hide.

Hrm...methinks you can now only have the blue bar appear when you add something relevant to the thread, instead of the "ZOMG DEV POST IT MUST BE IMPORTANT!" effect followed? ---------------- Tarminic - 31 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.78.2 |

Yeah let's just hope that doesn't mean that some semi-important/intresting information gets lost too.
In general this is definately great! Kinda annoying to read a thread just because it has one dev post saying "Locked" or something to that degree.

EVE-Search does not go by the gold/blue/red bars though, so the hiding in thread listing will not be a problem for me. EVE-Search finds dev/gm/mod/isd based upon the person posting rather than CCP's own bar-identification.
