Nice video, I enjoyed that. Good to see some ships that are not noted generally for piracy. Make more!!

I love this vid, must have watched it about 6 times now.
It's well made, good quality, decent soundtrack and shows what can be done with a properly piloted T1 frigate and a T1 crusier. It almost seems they were made to kill BCs. The Mega kill is awesome.
Great work, Cooch.

I sense high concentration of Yarr withing you Coochie.
Gotta love the vid, especially the bumping job with that Vigil and when the russian guy yells out "BASTARDS!" (types in cyrillic) in local

Woohoo! I'm in the vid! You guys blew up my first Thorax. The funniest things was that I was so new at flying that ship that i totally forgot about the set of warriors I had in my drone bay. I bet they would have sent you Vigil running:)

Yeah upon looting I wondered why you didn't release them
I prefer explosions in vids myself over ransoms. But since you was so new and I already had a rupture clip I just ransomed you. Normally when I'm pirating I don't go after new players in frigs and cruisers and I always ransom if possible.

Don't compare apples to oranges. MPC is just another DirectShow player. Meaning, it will use the codecs that are installed on your machine. There is actually no difference between how "well" different decently coded DirectShow players play something, because they don't play anything themselves ;)
VLC is different, it supplies it's own codecs (ffmpeg iirc), and does not use windows codecs. So you can't say one is better than the other or vice versa. You can say that VLC's gui is worse or MPC gui is worse, but that's it. You can not compare their playing ability, since MPC doesn't play anything by itself.
Sorry for OT, but just wanted to clear that up.

Ok then, atleast it handles the windows codecs a lot better then VLC handles its own. My MPC never crashes, is damn fast, I can basicly slide the position thingy and hear the stutters of audio as I move a long, it updates as fast as my winamp playing mp3s most of the times. In VLC it takes a second maybe or a few updating most times or longer. At least on my computer. I feel MPC is faster and more stable then any other player Ive ever had. If its thanks to windows codecs together with a stable and quick interface in MPC I don't really know, cause I dont know how it really works. But I feel its just better in every way. I also think the subtitles handling in MPC is a lot better.
Thanks for feedback on the movie.
Its actually Guy, not guys. Since Zach is my alt =)

Edited by: Durao on 08/04/2008 14:52:08 The fights were great, but what made the movie was the editing and appropriate choice of music (given your name).
Vids like this show that it doesn't take a zillion sps and expensive ships to get out there, pvp, and do well. |
