Also a good idea to avoid web sites of ill repute. Update anti- spyware/virus software. Never us a public WIFI to log on your laptop; or a shared user (School/librarys) machine...
IF he is in dorm witha roomate, may want to chack for small hardware addition between keyboard and computer as well.
Hacked accounts are not random, there is a security flaw somewhere.

This is a "trusted" member with multiple accts that has lost everything to this. we are pretty sure it was a "hack" as he was on and then got kicked off came back and when he returned it was over.

If he actually was hacked he should go to the police. It's a crime in most countries.

Petition it like every other thing that you would want to get CCPs attention.

Remove his roles. Have him change his password if he can. Petition; CCP will ban his account pending investigation.

Threads like this always raises the concern about account security, and I for one would still like to see an advanced set of options for my accounts to lock down by IP/range - and yeah such option could cause problems for people - hence why I'd like to see it as an advanced option, that perhaps the more technical pilots would use knowing the "risks" of getting locked out.

What will probably happen: player needs to petition, ccp will then probably refund everything if that was not destroyed assuming there was a hack to the player that was hacked. This includes your corp isk. The player will then have to give back the isk. I would defently remove roles until you receive it back.
In addition not trusting third party sites, don't trust unknown links to odd sites.

I'd love something like that.

We think that it has come from our corp website. We do use game-oracle.info as our host. Our CEO has noted strange activity and is currently locked out of it. This is not blaming the host in any way. Just part of our investigation as a corp.

We have just gone through the same thing as the OP. We also have a corp website hosted on game-oracle.info. So its looking like that is where the security hole is.

Which pretty much also is the reason for one not EVER to use the same login/pw on external sites/places as your account here.
Hope it gets sorted out, good luck!

YOUR fellow corpie needs to petition the case. When HE have petitioned the case, all he can do is then sit and wait. YOU however cant do nothing except for cheering him up.

you wont see any of it back since hacking cant be proven ( can it? as they would of had to use the same username and password to get in the account) so you wont see any of it back follow simple security advisments to dis allow further hacking that people have suggested
but sorry to say you wont get anything back least i am pretty sure you wont =/

CCP has been contacted by Petition. Im sure everything will be okay. I don't believe it was done by Key Log. Im sure CCP Can trace each wallet movement between the accounts. Lets just hope they do this before the person Deletes the accounts within 24hrs.
Anyone who use Game-Oracle.info should be careful.
To the poster about (not using the same password as game ) On forums. Thats a very good answer!
