Hi, Id like to know if there is any way you could armor tank a raven for lvl 4 missions? And what people think of what ive written below
From what ive looked into, ingame / eve fitting tool armor tanking for guristas specific missions.
On my raven sheild tank I use
Resistances with T2 Hardeners is --- Em: 0% Therm: 64% Kin: 85.9 Exp: 60% (Guristas Tank)
Sustained Defence Efficiency: 217
High:
6x Arby Cruise
Med:
1 Cal Navy x-large Sb
3 Mission spec. hardeners
1 DG Shield Boost Amp
Low:
2x PDU II
3x BCU II
Rigs - 3x CCC
It works very well, never had a problem doing missions, I just dont like that fact that the cap can run out.
For the Armor Tanking setup ive setup(havnt tried in-game) is
Resistances with T2 hardeners comes out to --- Em: 60% Therm: 75.3% Kin: 82.4% Exp: 10% (Guristas Tank)
Sustained Defence Efficiency : 232
And also doesnt run out of cap
High:
6x arby cruise
Med:
For now Cap Rechargers
Lows:
1 Lar II
1 Med II
3 Hardeners
Since im loosing my bcus I was thinking I could change out 2 CCC's for 2 WCC's to keep the damage up.
But from what I come up with Im going to get a better tank with armor tanking and wont run out of cap either, with a small nerf to my dps
What do you guys think?

It is possible, but why would you when shield tanking Raven is approx 33 % faster (approx 20% better RoF AND damage from 3x BCU) in missions than armor tanking one. Hell, even shield permatanking Raven is propably more effective.
Armor tanking Raven is more viable in PvP where you can use mid slots for e-war. E-war is not effective against NPC's.

When you realize its been 3 hrs and your still doing the same mission you will soon come to the thought process - bcus on raven = good.
If your going to armor tank probably best to go with a dominix if your drone skills are high.

2 Invul Fields II
Low:
5 x Cap Flux Coil II
Rigs - 3x CCC
All hardeners and the xl SB run perma (cap usage 83, cap recharge 85)
Could switch to:
High:
6x Arby Cruise
Med:
1 x-large Sb II
2 Mission spec. hardeners
1 DG Shield Boost Amp
1 Invul Fields II
1 Cap recharge II
Low:
3 Cap FLux Coils II
2 BCU II
Rigs - 3x CCC
But thats only 400 something Sustained Defence Efficiencybut still more then your Armor Setup
