I think you'll need to reevaluate your program if it is to work. None of that makes sense unless you have a lot of ISK to waste.

I'd agree. Even if this is actually a corp recruitment ad trying to recruit players of type 1C in this chart, the loyalty issues indicated there would eventually cause all the ISK invested in it to go down the drain. |

Im sort of getting the jist of it now, nice to see some people trying to teach players how to pvp and opening part of the game to them. Assault frigs are nice in gangs , Try the ingame recruitment channel im sure you will get decent loyal players quickly, It doesnt cost much to run looking at the offered skills, add a variety of Assault ships Ceptors and EAFS. If i saw this add and i had just started EvE, it would sure interest me... I remember the day i started and a friend sent me 300k isk, i was like wow.. did you just do that .My views are not of that of my Corp or Alliance .Im not a carebear,Mining isnt the slightest in my interest but I offer my view,if you dont like my views tough ****zle |

Just in response to some of the posts earlier... I am currently in the mining training program that was set up by this corp (NDHD) which is essentially the same as this one. So from my perspective...
Loyalty: There are many corps that offer signing bonuses or advertise significant benefits to new recruits. That leads to new players joining corps and then switching shortly after when they realize they can get a signing bonus somewhere else as well or when they realize those "significant benefits" from the corp they just joined comes with catches. This type of training program lasts a few months and, while you can leave anytime, you know that you are getting a free ride plus a great reward at the end - so most will stick it to the end. By the end, you might expect players to jump ship since there is no requirement to stick with the corp but..
Usually by the end of a couple months - you have gotten used to the corp, become friends with the members, and have started to work as a unit on ops. That's a hard thing to give up. Most people in EVE are in it for the fun of the game and will be loathe to leave a group that has offered them a lot and that is made up of good people. That isn't to say other corps do not offer a lot / made up of good people - but it is to say that this type of program creates an incentive for players to be with the corp long enough to realise that without getting lured by some attractive offer from another corp. Also, even if players leave after a couple months, this type of program regularly brings in new faces so the corp doesn't feel like it is stagnating.
Anyways... I don't know if that made any sense -- but that's my opinion. And really - even if it logically shouldn't work - it is as far as I can see and it has been a fun ride so far :)

Hi Selquist,
I'm new to EVE, playing since November, doing only missions in HiSec til now, so my question might look somewhat dumb. What is meant by "Skilltraining will be funded"?
Anyway, the concept of your academy sounds great. A chance for me to see more of the EVE Unsiverse and to make friends.
I'll try to contact you ingame tomorrow if you are still recruiting Newbies like me.
Regards, Nandja
