I've progressd to lvl 3 agents and i can't see any improvement in the types of missions, rewards or bonuses compared to lvl 2 agents.
I just spent 4 hrs doing lvl 3 missions and the best i got was 2 Basic cap relay bp's - totally useless - can't sell em, can't reprocess them and whoever thought of garbage hauling missions needs their head examined - its a game - its supposed to be fun not drudgery.
I worked hard to get lvl 3 agents and i feel like a right mug - what a waste of my time - i can't believe i actually pay for this game.
It seems as if CCP are trying to make life as difficult as possible - weeks of work for what reward.
I apologise to my fellow gamers for this whinge but i had to say it or i was going to explode - i just feel cheated.
The fortunes of war, i'll tell you plain, is a wooden leg or a golden chain. |

Agent missions can be an aweful stretch at times.
But just wait till you get that funky courier mission, and you find that the reward is a basic implant - suddenly you'll think it all was worth it
Anyway, you should maybe invest a bit into the social skills. Connections and Negotiation specifically. They allow you to access higher agents, and make them dish out better missions and rewards. (Unless you already have done that, of course )
Ciao, Aronis!

I love my agent, gives 95% kill missions (never more than 3 jumps away), and I average 200-300k income per mission. I don't mind doing it at all.

OMG! I LOVE MY AGENT!
I'm doing missions that earn 50k to 200k each. 75% mineral/ore requests, 20% courier, 5% kill.
I just did 5 missions for example, got 1 implant...2 amarr starship engineering skill... some tech components....some cash.
SPAZTASTIC!

I feel your pain, Mon Maures - the selection of agent rewards has got to be among the most cretinous uninspired aspects of this game. How many more Caldari Shuttle BPs can I eject into the sun before something changes?
The blueprint copies given out are completely worthless as well, as the player BPC market renders them obsolete and undesirable.

Just so you guys know, each corporation, has a list of market goods that they produce, and from this list, mission rewards are generated.
For example if you are running missions for the Caldari Corp Expert Housing, you don't have much to look forward too as far as rewards, Carbon and Construction blocks are all they make, so look forward to junk. However, running missions for the Caldari Navy or Caldari Steel.. well go look for yourself, they produce about everything that is related to the Caldari (not saying you'll get a Scorpion for a reward or anything but you will most likely get something much much more useful than Carbon). ------

Jim Raynor, are you talking aboout the "sells" list in the corps info pages one this site?
I'm doing lvl 3 missions for Caille Uni and I'm getting tons of sip constructions materials, none of which are listed on their "sells" list.

You mean tech II building components? Those are seperate reward types than that list, all corporations give those as rewards.
People complaining about getting Iron S blueprints all the time should LOOK at what the corporation manufactures, you might notice.. they make small hybrid charge blueprints!
So yes that list very much give you a very good idea on you what the corporation will give you, in terms of rewards.. ------

Jim is right, Papa Smurf explained this in one of the threads a long time ago. The "average" reward that they give is something the corp makes. Then there are "better" rewards which can be almost anything; tech2 components, BPCs, skill books, etc. This can include items the corp doesn't normally sell. The "best" reward is of course the implant.
Since the "average" reward is something the corp makes then most of the time the bonus for the mission is going to be something from the corp. If you want better "average" rewards find a company that makes what you want to get.

Well , simle fact is - mission are the biggest timesink in the game.
You can do them solo , in whatever ship you're flying ( although frigates would be limited to lvl 2 missions ) and you can do them if you loged on for few hours or few minutes.Very convenient timesink.
Some DEVs said that missions are pretty much the only way to raise NPC corp/faction standing , but why would you do that apart from "I've got nothing elce to do" excuse.Amount of ISK missions generate even with well trained Social skills is still less than you would get mining or NPC hunting in empire space , implants are rare and far in between and 5% refining bonus with high-standing NPC corp is hardly worth the time investment to get there. The only decent reason to do agent missiong is to get standing with R&D corp and get good R&D agent , but even then you're not guaranteed any return on time investment you've made.
Bottom line is - missions is what you should do only when you have absolutely nothing elce to do.

Well sometimes you hid the jackpot and get a lot of cool stuff. Sadly I¦m usually to lazy to sell all those cool stuff so it¦s just gathering dust in my hangar .
Hey Jim I got a small iron bp from a propel agent. Although that is the only thing I have got which they do not produce. My agent is particularly excited about giving me water, I think he is trying to drown me __________ Capacitor research |

The only way to really have a rough idea on what a corporation will give you as an "average" reward is the web page corporation lists, and they very well might be incomplete, who knows.
I do know that if you use those pages as a guideline, you will get those items as rewards now and then (only the lower isk value ones though).
For example I used to run missions for Kaalakoita, they would very often give me small hybrid charge blueprints, I have since switched over to Caldari Navy, I usually get power diagnostic, cap relay, capacitor flux blueprints and Condors.. lots of Condors. ------
