A suggestion on helping to prevent the exploitation that highsec gankers us to gank ships in highsec and provide the risk vs. reward to the gankers.
My suggestion is to implement an NPC or Concord security option. With this you can rent or lease a security escort for a 23 period or until DT which ever happens first. The amount you are willing to spend on an escort/security guard will depend on the amount and types of ships you employ.
They would not follow you into lowsec nor engage NPCÆs and not interfere with any wardecs. But would engage much the same way as Concord already does, and with the ability to call in concord for assistance. They would only protect your ship and not others band in a fleet.
I would suggest the following prices. 1 frigate = 50k isk (mostly for the newbieÆs) 1 cruiser = 2 mil isk 1 BS = 8 mil isk
I relies some are going to post about lag increase and yada yada yada. But think about it Jeta is not the only place in EvE that ships are ganked. It would also be a way to provide some protection to miners. I donÆt want to hear the redirect about lazy miners ect. The fact is the gankers are actually the lazy ones. I also know some are going to chime in with the standard stuff about macros and isk sellers using it to protect their fleets and such. But CCP can crunch the real numbers and come up with a more appropriate pricing that would be doable for the player and not feasible for the macroer. The thing is with corps like GS and others getting away with actions that were never meant to be done in Empire, the game its self has become more and more less enjoyable to the casual player and non-PVPer.

no,
what needs to happen is there needs to be real consequences to suicide ganking.
If you aren't at war, and you are attacking people in high sec, you should be taking a huge hit.
blowing up a ship in empire outside of war should should equate to a full 1-2 point loss to concord standings. Then just set the threshold for what negative standing will blow you up upon entering a high sec zone, -5 gets blown up at 1.0, -6 at .9, -7 at .8 -8 at .7 etc

Though I would tend to agree with you. CCP has stated that highsec is not a grantee of safety and that it is not an exploit if they lose their ship in the process. This is the issue the gankers utilize. By taking a high faction hit would be good in some cases it would not prevent the alt gank recycling that does happen. By being able to higher a security force you can help lesson this problem.

Highsec ganking doesn't need fixing, the self-preservation instincts of whiny carebears (like the OP) do.

the only thing that needs "Fixed" is insurance paying out when concord is the result of the kill.
Suicide ganking in itself, and in theory is ok, because it makes high sec "interesting"

You do know that the devs of EVE were PKs in Ultima Online, right? Don't expect to get any changes to how things are now.

Yes, you should be able to ATTACK in hisec. There should be REAL consequences, however, not a slap on the wrist while they make money.
1: The victim should get the insurance money if popped. If not popped, the ganker can collect and try again. If an accident, the "ganker" won't be screwed if he knows the vic well or doesn't KILL them.
2: 0.0 should not provide positive security status if it does not provide negative security status. Let them rat it back up in lowsec and play with random pirates. Maybe have gains come slower and slower as their kills mount, as they obviously belong in lowsec if they want to attack randomly.
