Posted - 2008.02.29 09:13:00 - [1] Dear CCP, Outside of the game me and a few friends have been discussing how poor the GMs response and ability to actually make that response is. I would like to ask for CCP to give its members base full clarity on the current ability of the GM's and their logs. I understand this may be somewhat unconventional but there have been numerous situations where people can provide personal game logs and get told they are no good (so what is the point of them). The game logs that are kept on the server are inadequate, they do not provide enough information on anything apart from where you are, they donÆt provide information on aggression timers and they most definitely donÆt provide any information on desync issues. So, CCP, I request that you provide us, the player, with more information on what the server logs actually log and if you are doing anything to improve your service because quite frankly at the moment, its sh!t... Regards P.S If you have been at the recieving end of poor customer service due to the fault of the logs, please respond and show CCP that this is not a minor insident. ---------------------------------

I have read the rules on mentioning GM's and it is specific as to GM responses and correspondence between GMs and the EvE communities, i have not mentioned any specific events and i would like this thread to stay open by your leave. How would CCP record every packet from every player for every single key press and module activation and store it for weeks at a time in case you need to petition something??? Thats one BIIIG database. Further more if something has gone wrong the chances are the packet never reached the server - hence theirs nothing in the log, hence they cant reply to it. Finally do you really expect CCP to give us what the server actually logs? I doubt more than 1% of the player base could actually understand it in code terms. Ultimately most of the games information is held on your PC, not on a server - hence the reason why yo have to send bug reports with loads of info of your machine - CCP simply dont have it. C. Personal logs on private computers can be altered, and as such are not valid as evidence. Also, they have said that lag is also not a valid reason for reimbursement. Thats why they are planning to have in next patch, for Amarr ONLY, making the Amarr Navy ships from LP store WORSE than the orginal t1 version. Devs have already conformed this in game development forum. This will last until Factional warfare is released a year or two from now. Amarr nerf 4tl. Some dude is going to get so annoyed when they visit LP store and spend hundreds of thousands of Lp upgrading their bs to navy version to find it got worse. This will mean ONLY Amarr will be the race of worse faction ships than originals. They love Amarr so much, that they decide to reward the same treatment to rest of players via their logging (not the CRTL-Q logging, but you get the idea). They are not making t1 bs better than faciton ship (nightmare still beats apoc, as do all other races faction ships). They are insted leaving the broken apoc setup on the Navy apoc The Navy apoc will now become the WORST faction bs or any BS ingame. Right at the bottom, even worse than normal Apoc, since CCp are fixing apoc, and leaving Navy Apoc alone till factional warfare is released (year to two years away) Its saying something when navy apoc is worse of all battlship types in game.
