Considering i'm gonna use it to roam and troll 0.0 space, would the cloak be worth it incase someone throws a hissy and jumps in capitals?

Lol, deploy capitals against a vaga ?
You will either die or get chased away long before that happens, cloak on a vaga, you will miss alot of small targets, haulers ect, many easy kills will slip away due you will not get a lock before they warp.
Find the systems you want to terriorice, make 15 or 20 safe spots, and no, im not overdoing it, you will need that many when the army of probers come chasing you.
No cloak, but equipped with so many safespots that no one will ever be able to find ya, you will become a real pest, and thats what you want right?

cruiser sig radius plus your natural agility means you can evade fighters relatively comfortably when they attack as long as you're not totally stationary anyway. Similarly as long as you're smart, check scanner and know how to move, speed will carry you
I don't think the cloak would help as much some faction ODs, a DCII, or small bursts of overheated mwd to clear non-rapier camps ___ Eve Players are not very smart. Support Killmail Overhaul

Edited by: Trracer on 03/03/2008 12:49:29 ...and what would the capitals do towards your vagabond? Capitals won't catch it while you mwd around, if they send fighters after you, you can kill them off if they warp after you. I would be more afraid of a few webbing intys than capitals tbh.
edit: Pooh, wasn't first :P

Ok, maybe went overboard with 'capitals'. Just would like to know if the clock would hinder me so bad. Could I ram the smaller stuff while my sensors recalibrate?

If you train cloak to lvl V and use the T2 cloak then..... No, cloak seriously hinders you a a fast targetting ship, you will be about as slow to target as a battleship.

A neut is a far better idea if you don't want a alaucher.

LOL neut on a vaga?!
anyways I would say a cloak could be a good plan, just don't use it for combat, use it for going afk at safespots in enemy ground that way people will be forced to get along with their business leaving you with nice windows of opportunity to go and upset miners

There will be a day when you'll lose a vaga for not having one. There won't be a day when you'll lose a vaga for not fitting a cloak.

Fixed. Vagabonds are fast enough that it should be able to use it's own speed and excellent tracking to bring down any one interceptor. Or two. Or even three. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. It's given freely, and only grudgingly retracted when necessary. |

So now a Neut is the best wildcard? What if I said I just want to grief the hell out of someone in 0.0, killing the occasional small ship or something, just get myself noticed but be safe at the same time?
Obvious fit would be: Dual 180s and a wildcard of your choise T2 MWD, 20k scram, 2 large shield extenders Interia stabs or Overdrives, depending on my mood
Rigs, Falloff all the way.

Almost right. Its not the vagas tracking thats the problem. The vaga uses its speed and forces the inty to chase which brings traversal to 0. If the inty gets you webbed and gets into an orbit you wont hit it.

a neut isn't a bad option, even vs a rapier/hugiin it can mess them up or atleast take the webs/point off(assuming you moving towards it with speed before webs kick in) hell getting webbed alot of frigs/sabre if they live long enough to web you and orbit fast/close enough can be a pain .

Fit the cloak. I killed about a dozen isk farmer Ravens and their haulers just because they and their scouts couldn¦t see me. It will drop your lock time to about BC level, so you can still catch ratting BS and haulers just fine. And when their "protectors" come in, it¦s more fun to sit look at the smack instead of warping every 10 seconds. Not to mention you can sit in a station system, let them think you are afk (of even better really be afk) so they get brave and start ratting again.
