Edited by: Dark Flonoe on 06/03/2008 11:55:18 Edited by: Dark Flonoe on 06/03/2008 11:54:42 Hi, From few weeks I'm doing L3 missions for Caldari Navy combat agent L3Q19 on Kaunokka. I get already 5 (or 6) storylines and all of them were courier missions (2 types, one for 1M ISK second for 5M ISK). I saw on few sites there are also combat storylines. Anyone could me explain why I get only courier missions?
Best Regards

Personally I always found it to be random. There are 2 others I got AFAIR, 1 is a single group spawn with a leader that is some enemy of the state, the other a damned long 10 part storyline that if it weren't for the impact on standings I'd drop everytime as it just isn't worth the time it takes IMO.

The 10 part storyline was probably my favorite storyline mission ever. It felt long and epic and I had fun killing the BS at the end with my drake.
AFAIK it's random, unless somehow the proportion depends on what division a storyline agent is in, and are they a more 'combat' corp or a 'courier' corp.

I dont know if its a coincidence or maybe a slight part of the deciding factor but i have noticed that if the storyline agent is within 2 jumps it is 90% of the time a combat, over 4 jumps a courier. I have only ever got the 10 parter from a combat orientated corp and there relative command agent.

The storyline mission will be based on the storyline agent that gives you the mission. So when you complete the 16th regular mission, and the closest storyline agent is primarily a courier agent, then that is what you will get most of the time. Although, even a courier agent will give a kill mission every now and then. But "rare" * 16 missions means that it will be very long time in between to get a kill mission from them.
If you want kill missions for storylines: 1. Run 15 regular missions with your favorite L3 agent. 2. Try to locate a storyline agent that is primarily a kill mission agent. 3. Then try to locate a regular L3 agent closest to that storyline agent. 4. Complete the 16th mission, and there is a very high probability that you will get the storyline mission from the nearby "kill agent"
This is not 100% guaranteed, as I am only basing this on my own experience and what I have read on the forums - I would not bet the bank on either one .

Edited by: Goa Vibe on 06/03/2008 21:22:40 I don't know if the plan above will work, but to add
that 16th level 3 can be from any corp in the same FACTION as the one you ran the last 15.
there is a counter that tracks how many missions you have done to qualify you for a storyline.... internally it would look like this:
Gallante Lvl 1: 4 Gallante Lvl 2: 9 Gallante Lvl 3: 12 Gallante Lvl 4: 0 Caldari Lvl 1: 6 Caldari Lvl 2: 2 Caldari Lvl 3: 15 Caldari Lvl 4: 0
then running a lvl 3 Caldari Navy, KK, Nugo, or Caldari Business Tribunal mission will trigger your Caldari State Level 3 Storyline mission.
This will allow you to pick a specific storyline agent.
