I just got up after 3 hours sleep (waiting for a delivery ftl) so i thought i'd go round and see what i could find. I jumped in to Reisen, knowing it was high sec, i even said to myself that it was high sec, yet i still proceeded to scan down 2 hulks in a belt, warp to them, engage one of them and i almost got time to convo him to ask for a ransom before concord turned up and instazapped me. Brand new vagabond down. Great.
Just thought i'd share my fail.

heard worse stories on losses in high sec (ppl that has been in 0.0 to long tend to make some spectacular ones), but then again one less vagabond in eve makes me warm and fuzzy inside (yeah i hate em)

I've got a surprising amount of kills when drunk. I tend to engage people that I know have backup and would never otherwise fight, but I'm so belligerent it confuses them, and often their backup doesn't show up because they think I know something they don't.
Playing while hungover though, that tends to lead to failure.

Edited by: Grimwalius d''Antan on 07/03/2008 13:47:26 After some time in 0.0 I had managed to get rid of my outlaw status and decided it was no good and that I should get back to pirating, so I was zipping around in lowsec in an Incursus, looking for ratters and miners. After some 20 minutes I spotted a lone player in a system. Scanning him down I saw that he was in a mining barge, so I warped in a 0km to the belt and saw that he was using mining drones as well. "This is too good to be true", I said to myself and hit the MWD and started Frapsing the engagement, certain that I was in for a lucky ransom or looting. I scrambled and webbed him and was just about to open up a convo when the screen locked up for a second, then a dozen white NPCs appeared 50km out. "What the?". Two seconds later they all locked me, but I still didn't understand what was going on, but I knew there was no way I was going to ransom or kill the barge before they got me.
I warped away in confusion to a safespot I had created while entering the system, but shortly after arrival the NPCs showed up again. Of course, they were Concord, and the system was 0.5. I had paid no attention to the security level upon entering, as life as an outlaw had accustomed me to only visit low sec and 0.0 space, used to being warned whenever I ventured into high sec. The miner probably never noticed that he was attacked, he seemed to be mining AFK. I've never shown the Frapsed footage to anyone. _______ Griefing is to ruin a friendly game, which Eve is not. |

The same rule should apply to flying while drunk, or under the influence of similar intoxicating substances

While not too awake I once attacked a negative standing [red symbol] in Orvolle - somehow thinking it was flashy red...
