Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a new PC? I have 2 PC's in mind.
Acer Aspire G3610
or
Medion Erazer X5326 D
The Azer one has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 (1GB) graphic card and Medion has a Nvidia GeForce GT 545 (3GB) graphic card. One review told me that the GTX 560 was better but it has only 1GB? So I'm not sure.
What should I choose? I could use some advise.
Thanx Alot! |

Hi,
It's not the amount or RAM, but the "X" in the name that makes the difference
The GT 545 is mainly for "office desktops".
Look at the difference in
- Memory Clock
- Memory Interface Width
- Memory Bandwidth
or even
- Maximum Graphics Card Power
- Minimum System Power Requirement
The Processor Clock might be "slower" on the GTX 560, but it is definitely the one I'd choose.
I would recommend the Medion Computer, but make sure the power unit is properly sized, I saw nowhere the specs for it. Or change it after you bought the computer for something like a Corsair AX 750 or equivalent.
Cheers

With the Crucible update, I can tell you having at least an i-series processor helps more than my current GPU (6870 HD, which I've had for about a year and a half). I think you should look more at the CPU you're looking to buy than the GPU. Anything in the GTX 560 and up from Nvidia is more than capable for Eve. Similarly, anything above 6770 from AMD is able to handle Eve with reasonable expectations. |
