Are there any good sites/guides/posts that explain how an asteroid belt is replenished? Is it based after downtime that they are refilled or do they slowly grow back? Are certain fields more capable than others? Thanks for any answers.

I don't know for sure but on certain days, about two times a week I believe, the belts are replenished, or reseeded or whatever they do, at downtime. I don't remember the days though, but I think Thursday was one...

I have not done any mining in a while, but last time I did it worked kind of like this (not sure if its changed)...
If a rock is popped, it will respawn on a certain day of the week, different ores respawn at different rates (some only spawn 2 times a week etc). If the rock had a little bit in it then it would replenish some every downtime. I cant say for sure how much is replenished or on what days the stuff happened however, and I belive it was based on constellation or region or some such... -=^=-

When I started mining with my alt I was told that every day during DT asteroids get a minor respawn, and a heavy respawn on friday's DT. Can't really confirm it being 100% accurate, just word of mouth. ___________________________________________

They do seem to get a little bit every downtime. As for weekly or biweekly total respawns, I cannot say. Why don't you carry out some research for the next 7 days and report back here?

There doesn't seem to be much of an upper limit on roid size as way out in 0.0, some of those quiet systems will have rather large rare-mineral-bearing rocks. These don't necessarily grow fast, but they do seem to keep growing if left alone for long periods of time. In high-sec systems with stations, the belts tend to get harvested fairly regular, which keeps the rocks from growing to monsterous size.

Haven't been out to 0.0 for a while, but this does seem to be true. However, if you can find an empty highsec system (1 station, no factory, out of the way), some bigger rocks can be found. Not telling where ()...but they are out there.
