So I have some questions that I can't find decent answers to. If someone can help it would be much appreciated.
1. Are Ladars/Gas clouds in a C1 worth mining in the following cases: a. Nothing else to do. b. Could jump to empire, spend 20 mins getting to lvl 4 mission agent, run a few missions, go 20 mins back to WH. c. Have anoms to run (I reckon I average 25 mil in 20 mins for these plus time to sell stockpiles).
2. If the answer to one of the above is yes, what ship / fitting is recommended, bearing in mind it will occasionally get blown up. As a guide in my opinion I would be mad to use T3 to run anoms but losing my Drake every now and again is no biggie.
3. Although more work usually = more isk, is it worth my while processing the gas or should I just sell it?
Thanks
I also have questions about low sec sites if anyone is feeling really helpful........................ |

once you find a gas clouds in your C1, write down what kins of gas is there. then check the market. might just use eve central for that if you don't want to leave WH for that. Once you know how much you can get for those gas, you can count how much you will be getting per hours or so, and will see if it's worth or no. There is losts of different gasses, some are not worth bothering, some are gold mines. I doubt you will find good ones in C1.

I have never worked a c1, but understand that a C1 w-system will spawn ladar sites up to 'vast'. It will not spawn the higher level two - instrumental and vital. A vast is worth somewhere in the 110-150M range IIRC, the lower ones progressively less.
Whether they're worth it is entirely up to you and how you want to play eve. I let my ladar sites build up for a week or so and then harvest them all when I have a few quiet moments. I usually run anoms and radar / mag sites as a higher priority tho ... but would be very, very unlikely to head to hisec to run lvl4 missions instead (although in pure isk-per-burp terms you will prolly make more from the missions).
I virtually always process the gas, but am aware of arguments that it may be more profitable to not do so. The resultant polymers take up so much less space in my CHAs and the haulers I use to get them out to market.
Ship-wise I multi-box a pair of dedicated hurricanes with POS-based orca boosts and hauling. Training the skill to lvl5 is well worth it ... running five T2 harvesters gives you almost double (180%) the gas gathering rate over the lvl4 skill.
We can build and sell pretty much every ship. Check my bio for details. Our pirate epic arc completion packages really are very good: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread |

Having been in a C1 for the last 5 months I have only ever gotten barren, token, ordinary, and minor.
That said I drained 4 ladar sites while I was working today. It isn't the best isk per hour but it is better than mining and I could do it semi afk while I was working. It also keeps my sig count down. It was probably about 300mil worth of gas total.

Thanks. I was worried, as I replied, that vasts may not spawn in C1s.
BTW, ran my first instrumental last session. Those four elite BSs are not a welcoming bunch ... but have now added it to the list of stuff-a-solo-tengu-can-achieve. T2-fit tengu could not tank them but faction / deadspace 6HML MSB setup was fine.

Keep in mind "higher" sites aren't alway better as some Fullerite is more valuable that others. See eve central, and eve survival.
http://eve-central.com/home/typesearch.html?search=Fullerite http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=WormholeSpace
For example a simple Barren Perimeter Reservoir has 3000 Fullerite-C50 cloud which is worth 14,494 isk a unit.

Yes someone recently made a nifty google spreadsheet showing isk/hr of the various wormhole ladar sites. Even pulled data from the eve market. Sadly I did not bookmark it. |

This is close to the one I was thinking of, although I thought I saw one where not only the total value per site was calculated, but it also had a tab for isk/hr based off gas mining 5. It may have been over in the industry forum.
Either way that one gives a quick and easy check of the total isk value per site. They key is that the most valuable gases get fairly bulky. I recall running into an empty C3 I think with lots of ladar's I was excited when I calculated the isk value, but ultimately did not bother when I calculated it was going to take me many hours to drain the site. |

IIRC the Cane is the best gasser due to the huge cargohold and lots of lowslots, but any BC with 5 turrets will do fine.

Except it will be a ***** squeezing that ship into a C1 (which is what the op was asking about)
Personally I use a thorax. 5x harvesters in the nights. Expanded cargo holds in the lows. Cheap small and works fine. |

My speadsheet shows on second tab wheter its more profitable to sell raw gas or reacted ones. Prices per eve cenrtral. Also if you notice last column on tab 1 shows which gas is best for isk per m3 as gas harvesters have fixed amount of yield it gives you quick estimate on which sites to do first and which gas to harvest first. |

Also, omen for me, t2 harvesters, mwd to zip between clouds, survey scanner to see how muych gas left in cloud and low slots enough co processors to turn everything on, rest nanofibers for mwd as when i slapped it together they were cheaper than overdrives. No rigs. Whole lot cheaper than exotic dancers on friday night. |
